I am popular tonight, two phone calls in a row.

Sue will soon be too posh to talk to us you know.

Little Eve is coming on really well Diane, she starting to be very alert and is is touching things, although she hasn't learnt how to pick them up yet. She makes noises all of the time, her usual word is Aboooo, whatever that is

Sue, That's the price of fame - enjoy your stardom.

Diane the painting is nearly finished, well that part anyway. I think I could go off the rails, but I'll let you all know when I do - probably send a postcard from a bar in Rio lol. Anyway, I don't understand why everyone should think I'm so staid - I'm really not, well not all the time.

Tec.

Hello all. Hope it's all good for all of you.

I don't think I'll be getting any more babies for a while, either. I already have 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. I don't get to see them very much because I live so far away but it's lovely to catch up with them when I do go down south.

We don't have the 1 hour forward on the clocks up here in Queensland. Mind you, I think those in the south east corner of the state should be able to have it. They want it and it must be difficult for business to try to function when the border runs through the middle of the business district. I find that Queenslanders don't like change and one of the other things is they are always late; for appointments, the movies, a show, dinner date. They are notorious for not making reservations or booking tickets for events. Think they can just rock up and get in and get quite shirty if there's no seats left etc. So I don't know why they have a problem with daylight saving - they don't take any notice of the time or the date anyway.

Sorry to have missed you Sue. I'm sure your radio interview will go well. The presenters are usually very good at handling these things. I've done a couple and was only nervous the first time.

We don't think that you are staid Tec, that is the point. That is why we don't believe that a handsome young chap in a uniform would not have a a string of young ladies in tow

Good morning Berona~~

Glad the weather is good with you too, gives you more of a spring in your step, excuse the unintended pun !

Welcome back Di
How come you eat so late..?
What's your son's magic about making mum's happy then ? I mustn't grizzle about mine he's a fine lad.

Well I've got to run along now as I can hear fat pippin demanding his night time crunchie biscuits .

Night all and have a good day to the daytime ones .

Berona Report 17 Oct 2010 23:30

Sandie - Diane eats late because she lives a very strange timetable. I don't know how she stays awake but she has little 'kips' after work but she certainly doesn't spend a lot of her life sleeping! She works 7 days a week and rises before 6am to go there. (then walks to work!).
Oh, how I envy her for her energy!!!

Anyone left? Roll on DST weekend!
Whilst UK time has been 9 hrs behind NSW, I have had difficulty finding the Poms still around, but it has been a little better since we went forward a couple of weeks ago and will be even better when the UK time goes back. That will make us 11hrs different and give us more time to talk in the morning (for us), night (in the UK).
I won't bother trying to explain it because I'm probably wrong. Let's wait another couple of weeks and we will work it out then!

Diane

Diane Report 17 Oct 2010 23:58

Good night Amanda Linda and Tec, hope you all enjoy a warm peaceful sleep.

Sandie, I eat so late because I'm doing other thing's usually and as I don't have a OH I tend to eat when it suit's me.
Son's magic is helping me by doing hoovering and washing so I don't go round the twist trying to do it all as well as work 7dys a week.

Berona I had a sleep today after work, if I didn't I think I'd end up collapsing, worked from 8-30am till 3-30pm and then did a quick shop. Got home and made a quick coffee and took it to bed and then slept till 7-30pm.

Berona, getting far too complicated for me. But all I can do is come in here when I have some free time and there's precious little of that these days.

Like, right now, I have to leave again and go down to Cairns. Hopefully this will then mean that I can stay home for the rest of the week. I do get a bit tired of all this running around. Is great when it means I'm earning money but no good when I'm not. Greedy, aren't I?

Bye all. Have a gone one, whatever it may be. lol

Wow, Diane - that's quite a "tribe"!!! lol.

My daughter has three (2 boys, 1 girl) and my son has 1 boy and a step-daughter. That's it for me. The two older sons have been married for about fifteen years and have not added to the population, so I think it might be a bit late now.
Do you buy all of these Christmas presents? I have enough problems working out what to buy five!

Berona~~~

I often don't go to bed until 2am and 3 days a week am up by 7.30 but have a bit of a lie in the other days, I do a lot of walking but not generally first thing in the morning.

As you say don't know where Di gets the energy from, bless her,cos she has more than her fair share of aches and pains, and yes I envy her energy and persistance to do what she does.!!

Hope you are well today:)
Sue is passing her cold around .lol...it's gone to my throat and I can only speak quietly, much to the famlies delight:)

Will you be able to hear Sue on the radio today, I'm assuming it is live transmission?
