Oh, yes it does, Tec. Nothing better than the Exhibition Swing to make you feel like doing a quickstep!
This station has up-to-the-minute music and news, but interspersed with an old one. I often hear a record that reminds me I haven't heard it since my schooldays/teenager days, and I'm quite proud of myself, that I can singalong with them - and I can still remember all the words!
A newspaper magnate took control of the station about 20 years ago and 'brought it up to date'. They got so many complaints, that it was all changed back again and they brought a former announcer/music guru out of retirement and he's still there - recently turned 80. We do have another well-known 'guru', much younger, of course, but the older man is the one who interviewed people like Bing Crosby, The Beatles, etc. and us oldies love him. I might add that he has cancer, but he keeps going. Received recognition in this year's awards by the Queen.

Nite to anyone I miss in the change over :))

Berona it's so nice to have a radio station/programme you can actually listen too and relax - very often a tune/song comes up that I haven't heard for years. Trouble is I can never remember the words, whereas the Duchess has an incredible memory for words of songs she grew up with. I think I have told you that she has a huge collection of LPs and CDs of the big bands, and almost everything the Ratpack ever recorded.

Tec - have you heard from your niece? How are they managing with triplets? I'm imagining that they might have reached the crawling stage. OMG! three of them!!

Berona the triplets are doing very well, also the one that had the accident who is apparently more fiesty than his brothers - imagine when they all start to walk - their dad is very hands on - well he would have to be wouldn't he? He puts them to bed at 7-30pm and they don't make a sound 'till 6am. They are 7 months now.
