Good evening Sandie
Hope you are well today and not to cold as you probably have it as cold as we have it in Liverpool.

Amanda we have the dental hospital here for emergency treatment and if you can't get an appointment with your own dentist you can go to it, though you can wait some time once you get there but if you are in a lot of pain then the wait is worth it.

Hi Sandie. The whole group perform but Aimee will dance to the music regardless of whether that's part of the performance or not:-))

Tec - if you collect enough of those left-over bits and pieces you may be able to build a cruise ship.

Hello Sandie...... I will go back to the dentist very soon , they won't actually do anything until the infection has cleared up I think .

Maybe Tec could build a robot with his bits of left over lamp , it could then take Ianto on his mid-night strolls in the garden : )

Diane , do you live in a City ? We would never get anything as grand as a dental hospital here....lol

Diane

Diane Report 19 Oct 2010 22:52

Amanda, yes hun I live in Liverpool ( you must have heard of it ) Stevy G (Stephen Gerrard ), Beatle's and Ken Dodd, I live about 10mins from Ken Dodd's family home and often visited it as a child with his nephew's as when I lived with my Aunty for a few month's Ken Dodd's brother lived next door to her and I was friend's with his nephew's and we would go to his house to see their Grandma.

So many posts since I had to take a phone call.

Amanda, if you have an abscess, there is no way the antibiotics will solve the problem, you must get a dentists appointment to have it drained, if you don't the infection will spread in your jaw

Sue, we both volunteer on the same night, just once a fortnight, though OH is a director of the cinema, so id there several times a week, he deals with all the takings, he alos seems to be the odd job man.
The cinema is a registered company, the committee who run it have to be directors, registered with companies house so that it limits there financial liability to just a £1 should anything go wrong.

Sandie, the cinema in the town, which is open every night and the public think is just an ordinary cinema is in fact totally run by volunteers. we sell tickets, sweets,tidy up at the end etc

Diane hun~~~
I have been freezing today, I'm a scrooge and won't heat the whole house just for me, so put on my long soft fleece dressing gown over my clothes .lol
Hubby was home lunchtime today so he put the heating on, but he soon got warm doing the bathroom tiling ! Halfway there now:)
Son's got quite a few shifts with As*a this week and next, also has an interview for an IT job next Wednesday, well it will be a 12 week placement if he gets it, with a possibility of a permanent job. They emailed him out of the blue so we are hopeful:)
Told him he mustn't give up his seasonal job at As*a just yet even if he just works at weekends, otherwise I'll loose my 10 % discount, and a few £K on any new Vauxhall we buy....worth a bit !!
Keep warm,it looks as if the temp is going to drop again tonight.

Edit .. Yes did mean Amanda re Antibiotics..oops

Hello all,

Just catching up with the posts since I was last here.

Berona, Who are the 'oldies' that you're referring to? Just curious

Pam.

What did Ken Dodds Grandma look like , was she a bit of a character ?

Hi Tec,

Tell the Duchess that I was lucky enough to see Frank Sinatra in concert live out here in Australia back in the 1980's. He was in his 70's then and was still very good.

Good Evening Diane, Linda, Amanda, Sandie,

Diane I would prefer not to shop on the internet, but as I live so far away from any good shops and seldom get to any, then the internet can be very useful.

Sue I've got enough bits left over from past jobs to build that cruise ship already.

Amanda I always keep spare bits, just in case, but rarely need them lol.

Linda ..... I'll try again in the morning for an appointment as you have me worried now . I must admit it has come back worse than it was a few weeks ago , the antibiotics the dentist gave me before did work ( but obviously not for very long ) , they didn't tell me to go back and it was all left a bit up in the air , this time I am getting ear ache as well and it does seem to be affecting a wider area : ((

I'm going to sign off here and get to bed ( just taken some more pain killers ) , hopefully I'll be an early bird in the morning !

" See " you all tomorrow .

Diane

Diane Report 19 Oct 2010 23:02

Hi Pam how are you, well I hope.

Sandie it is pretty cold here tonight and if this is an example of what we have to come ( only being October ) my heating bill is going to be as big as last year.

Well get building that ship then, Tec - before we're all too old to enjoy it:-))

Hello Pam:-))

I'm off everyone - must go and see the littlies. Someone told me that retirement was a time to relax. Very funny.

~~~~~~to anyone looking in.
Hi Linda,
A shock might liven me up a bit, and make my hair go frizzy lol.
Hi Pam, I think Berona includes me as the oldies on here - I will be 70 in January - though I'm sure there's been a mistake somewhere.
I hope you sleep well Amanda, but I am glad that you are going to see the dentist. It is easy to sort an abscess out, they just drill it and let the let the puss drain out, they then put a tiny roll of paper stuff which is soaked in antiseptic stuff inside the tooth and put a temporary cap on it. You then go back after a week and they do a root canal filling and you are all fixed. It sounds drastic, but in reality, it is just a big filling. It doesn't hurt because of the anaesthetic they give you. I have had a couple and it is such a relief when they let he gunge out because it takes the pressure off the nerve and the pain stops
Tecwyn
Tecwyn Report 19 Oct 2010 23:11
Goodnight Amanda,
Try to sleep, and keep warm,
Bye Sue, Enjoy the concert.
