Thank you Tec - and no I don't speak Welsh but I can copy and paste:-))

Hello Diane:-))

The concert was very cute. Aimee didn't dance as they had to sit and sing songs. Mostly we watched the children play outside as it was such a lovely day. We were allowed to take photos but not videos so I took some really nice ones of the twins.

Glad you enjoyed the concert Sue - I don't think you would be allowed to take photo's here, such are the insane rules we are tied up with. The new government are relaxing the rules on teachers not being allowed to touch the children under any circumstances. My daughter is a teacher in a primary school and the don't touch ruling was very difficult with little ones at times. Thank goodness common sense has at last prevailed.

Thank's Tec that would be nice, my friend's bought me a teach yourself welsh book about 6yrs ago but it is difficult when you don't know how to pronounce the words you are reading.
It has been very sunny here too but as you said it has also been very cold with the wind that was blowing, the car's were all icey on the window's this morning as I was walking to work and as I had my hair cut yesterday my ear's were freezing when I got there. Been busy helping employer's mum empty room's out since last Tuesday as she is having 5 room's redecorated, and when one is finished I help her to put all the stuff back again, the decorater is now on room 4 just 1 more room to empty and then put back again which we will start tomorrow, all in a day's work lol.
Put curtain's back up in the big bedroom today ( thought of you ) made sure I was putting them up the right way. How's your painting coming on?

Good evening from the frozen north,

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Oct 2010 22:13

It is getting silly. As you say it is very difficult not being able to comfort a child when they are distressed. When I asked if we could take photos the director said their policy was to allow photos but the use of a video camera was not allowed. I guess it's for the protection of the children.

I don't really see the difference between photo's and videos, all silly really

Diane Report 20 Oct 2010 22:14

Sue as Tec said we are not allowed to take photo's here unless we have permission from other parent's so you might as well say you can't take them. Mind you with all the thing's you hear going on now you can understand why, isn't it sad you have to think this way and feel you alway's have to be on your guard.

Hello Linda - is it that cold? It's slowly - very slowly - warming up here. It's been a cold October.

Good evening Linda from the very cold N.west.
What have you been up to today, busy in the house or did you venture out in the cold.

It is cold Sue, just as Diane said. I walked home from a meeting about 6.30pm and it was nithering

I just pottered for most of the day Diane, although the next door neighbour and her two girls (11 and 13) popped in this afternoon, and stayed for over an hour, then I had a meeting to go to about the future of the tourist office

Hello everyone ,

It's bloomin' cold here in Norfolk as well and it's rained quite a lot as well , heavy local showers , so I've just stayed indoors for most of the day .

Diane , I hope you don't upset that hip of yours hefting furniture etc about .

Sue , I'm pleased to hear the concert went well , it must have been a treat to see all the little ones running about and playing . I always think that one of the most pleasant sounds in the world is the noise that a mass of playing children make ....lol

We have just had a lovely visit from our friend who lives in Scotland , he is the chap that I have recently helped to find his birth half brothers ( who until a few weeks ago had no idea he existed ! ) , he is going to meet up with them for the first time next month .

Good Evening Linda - or is it Eskimo Nell? lol.

So what great things did you decide to do today? I went to collect my wall clock from the menders, so it's back in it's rightful place ticking merrily away. I did miss it, and kept looking at the blank space to see the time.

Diane the painting is ongoing here, but I do it in fits and starts as I'm not able to do it without a break in between.

Lol Linda - my OH comes inside the house on a cold day and says "I'm nithered". Of course Sandie and Tec would say 'Yr wyf yn oer iawn".

That is quite a difference in how I would have asked you if could you speck Welsh Sue to how Tec asked you !
Strange language , lol !
Glad you enjoyed the concert:)

Di Hi~~~
I find Lord Sugar forthright yet funny, doesn't stand any messing ! lol
Don'tt they have classes in conversational Welsh in your area ?
Second thoughts, with your timetable you'd not manage it.. the time I mean not the content of the course.
Have you eaten yet this evening ? Bet you are just about to or have just finished .lol..Naughty girl :)

I'd rather be able to speak /understand French , Italian or Spanish personally. I did French in school but not O level, I could get by when we went on hols there yrs ago, but then what I could understand /speak was very basic.
Must give this knee a bit of exercise !!! A Quick walk around !

Hello Amanda, I try not to take uneccesary risk with the hip hun, we take the drawer's out of the furniture or empty the contant's out were possible and all thing's that I have moved arn't to heavy but the wardrobes even when emptied had to be moved by the decorater, but thank's for thinking about me hun, I would be foolish to take risk as it is not just me who would suffer as if I put myself out of action it would be a disaster for employer and his mum.
How is your tooth hun did you get an appointment today ?
