And it's Goodnight from him to quote Ronnie Corbett.

Hi all~~

Gosh it's been busy on here the last few hrs.
Not on FB so can't appreciate any of your lovely photos :(

Oh, a talk about ages.lol.. I tried this one once only a few peeps who are not sensitive, don't give a damn who knows, and those who are proud of their ages have spilled .lol

Lol Berona you aren't shy at giving your age away I know, me neither ,56 and don't care who knows:)

Carolee~~~
Hope your interview was a success, best wishes for a good result:)
Yeah that guy on the other thread about 'little Uni students' was a right pr*t
and really rattled my cage, normally I'm quite a calm lady.lol he made me loose it, but I suspect that's exactly what he intended !!

Must go for a bit, going to the local reputable car/body shop repairer for a quote as dau has smashed the housing of the nearside wing mirror !
Women drivers !!
Have to admit she's bleeding useless at reverse parking .
'Shines my halo' ..... I can reverse or parallel park perfectly into the smallest of spaces and drive anywhere city , country or motorway with care and confidence.
She is also an aggressive driver, when she used to drive my car I used to have a go at her,cos I paid the bills, she's still the same with her own car, which we bought for her, but she now knows she is responsible for all the bills!! Bet her brake pads or whatever will need replacing soon, she has heavy feet when it comes to driving!
Son is quite the opposite, he uses his gears and brakes sensibly , not a boy racer, he can't really be in a Citroen C2, but always drove my sporty Corsa with care.. bless him .lol

Speak soon:)

Looks like everyone is gone to bed. It's currently 3.32am here in FNQ and I can't sleep because of the rain on the metal roof. Lots of people like that sound and I usually do, too. But tonight there were some really heavy showers and it woke me up.

Not looking forward to the section of dirt road I have to negotiate to get out to work today and will have to make sure I get back home before dark. It's like a quagmire already and, even though there's just over a kilometre of it, it's quite slippery in places. I just put my car into second gear and coast along, not braking and ready to gently accelerate when needed.

The road has been churned up by the 4WD yuppies that live across the road from me and the new people that moved in up the road. The up the roaders all bought new big 4WD's after they moved in and drive them like they're racing cars. Not consideration for others at all.

Colin, it was so nice to see you in here again. You haven't been around for a while. I know what you mean about driving in Sydney traffic. I can handle it OK when I'm down there but then I don't have to drive at peak hour. When I had to drive it peak hour started at 7am and finished about 8.30am but now it starts at 5am and I wonder if it ever finishes. One of the reasons I live in Cairns. I used to drive from Kings Park near Blacktown to Chippendale each day to work and it would take me 1 1/4 hours each way. Even with the new motorways now I doubt you'd make it in that time. So I feel for you. Nice to have a good vehicle but that doesn't improve the driving experience.

Where is Allan these days? Has he run away with one of his wheelie bins?? lol. Haven't seen him in here. Is he busy on another thread? I don't go to the other threads, maybe I should.

Hope to see some of you back in here at a more civilised hour but then, I do have to go to work today.

Pam.

It is a more civilised hour Pamela, or at least here it is.

Tec, I have just had a loaf failure, there is a huge hole in the middle of my loaf.

SueMaid Report 21 Oct 2010 21:38

Good morning/evening - and a nice sunny morning it is here in my little patch of Australia.

A failed loaf, Linda? I hope you don't go into decline over this.

Diane Report 21 Oct 2010 22:01

Good evening/morning

Linda, you could alway's say it is a Sunday loaf lol.

Sue your little frog on a leaf with ladybird sound's lovely hun, have you decided were you are going to put it.

Hi Colin good to see you again mate and that you are feeling more up to posting.

Pam your neighbour's don't sound like a nice lot very inconsiderate.

Carole I hope you are successful with the interview hun, those cactus are unbelievable and look amazing.

Sandie haven't seen the thread you were talking about but sound's as though this person was just a WUM and wanted to cause a reaction like he seem's to have done, ( fancy having a go at a 70yr old )

Oh peace and quite at last, my daughter and her 2 youngest of her 3 girl's have just left, love them to bit's but tonight they were very arguementive with each other and had their mum up the wall.
I was in work today from 7-00am till 2-45pm, ( usually finish at 1pm ) but had load's to do with emptying big living room carrying load's of book's and china upstair's out of the way and washing down paint work before the decorator make's a start tomorrow, still got the curtain's to take down in the morning.

Don't fret, Linda. You'll succeed next time. Sue gave me the recipe of banana bread and it was very nice. I've even bought more bananas than usual this week, so that I will have enough go soft to make another loaf.

BTW Linda - what is meant by "when you are in your seventies"? Where do you think I am now?

Diane

Diane Report 21 Oct 2010 22:19

Good morning Berona
how are you today hun, Linda think's of you as a young person still in your 60s and why not, you seem like that to us.

Diane

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 21 Oct 2010 22:19

Hello Diane and Berona.

Berona - you never seem to me to be a person in your 70's. You come across as so much younger.

Poor Linda - maybe you need a thread to yourself:-))

Diane - isn't doing things like that beyond your job description? Surely you are there to help and care for your client not help his mother prepare for decorating. If you think I'm telling you off - I am:-))

Pam - I think Allan might have defected! He is busy telling a story on Barbra's thread. Between that and talking to the wheelie bins, he wouldn't have much time to go elsewhere. I would like to see him too. I like his wit.

Greetings from the cave.

Linda I am so sorry to hear of your disaster with the loaf - but looking on the positive side, you could stack the toast on a kitchen roll holder. :))

Berona is 39 - she told me - I believe her.

Diane - Mother has scolded you, you are working too hard.

G'Day Sue - How is our Superstar today?

Tec.

Diane Report 21 Oct 2010 22:30

Hi Sue, you are right hun but I get paid extra for helping her with that kind of thing and if I didn't she would run herself into the ground to get it done herself. She doesn't have anyone else to help her so I choose to help her, I don't have to do it but I couldn't just stand by and watch her struggle ( could I ) count my self well and truely told off :))

Berona, you said you were only 39, so naturally I believed you

Berona

Berona Report 21 Oct 2010 22:34

Yes Sandie, I'm gradually training myself not to sleep long hours. The tablets I had were two lots of 50 - at one per day - that's 100 days! more than three months! Now that they are out of my system, I was left with the habit of sleeping long hours. That's what I'm trying to organise.

I am a lot younger when I'm sitting at my computer. I also get big ideas of what I want to do around the house - then, when I get up to do them, reality hits!

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 21 Oct 2010 22:36

Knowing you Diane - no you couldn't stand by while she struggles.

Tec - hope you are well:-))

Sandie - get those fellows to iron their own shirts!!
