Well, I have seen your photo Berona and you definitely only look 39 to me.
It is nearly two years since I had my glasses changed, I must make an appointment for an eye test

Good evening Tec and Sandie

Tec yes mum has scolded me, but if I know her she would do just the same, it is not in my nature to stand by and watch a 76yr old struggle to do the thing's that need to be done.
We have an arrangement of give and take, when I need to leave early for something or another like Dr's appointment or a hospital appointment, as long as I'm there till her son leave's to go to the day centre I can. I will soon have to take 2day's off for something and as it is unavoidable she will ask the lady next door to her to help with her son on the 2 morning's that I can't be there ( this being one of the rare time's I have to stay off work as I have no choice ), any other employer would not pay me for the 2 day's off but I will be paid even though I won't be there, so that is were there is the give and take.

Yes Linda - I think you should have another eye test.

Otherwise, you might get confused when I upload photos of my 'baby's' 40th.

We had a good system where my family were emailing their latest photos to me, as they uploaded them - and I could save them and print off what I needed - also send copies to other family members.
However, since we all gravitated to Facebook, they are just uploading them to their own photos and I can look at them there. Problem is - I can't save or print them and can't show them to anyone so I'll have to get onto them to go back to the way of emailing them to me.

I'm fine thanks Sue - hope you are too.

Berona, you can take the photos off Facebook. Click on the photo to open it up (not the small thumbnail) Then right click on it and choose "Save as" from the drop down menu and then you can choose where to save it to on your computer, just the same as you would if you saved it from an email attachment

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Oct 2010 22:57

have you been watching your paint dry again today Tec?

Berona

Berona Report 21 Oct 2010 22:57

I can? Linda - thank you, I'll give that a go. I was just about to write an email to all of them. I'll delay that.

Tec is very quiet, isn't he? Everything OK Tec? Duchess OK?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 21 Oct 2010 23:00

You can indeed Berona, just remember to open the picture up before you save it. You can do it with the small thumbnails of the pictures, but if you save that, you only end up with a tiny photo.
It depends on your system, but mine go into the download folder, I can then copy them or move them to where I want them. I have windows 7, but if I remember correctly with my old computer I could choose where I wanted the download to be saved

I'm never noisy Berona, I'm a rather quiet soul really, honest :))
We're ok, just getting on with it, like you do, but thanks for asking.

When is your birthday - do tell - don't be shy, we need a party.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Oct 2010 23:13

28th October Tec, I just looked on Facebook lol
So we have plenty of time to get organised

Of course Linda - Tec sent me pictures of his decorating. The kitchen is red with a bright blue feature wall, living room bright cheerful yellow and the bedroom is purple. I think Tec has made a point of not decorating his dining room because we ladies have been hounding him about it.

Tecwyn Report 21 Oct 2010 23:17

Linda I will never ever be finished all my painting here, there will still be some to do when they carry me out lol.

Boring white I'm afraid.........but I thought the dining room could be mauve ceiling, three red walls, and one yellow, with bright green woodwork.
The Duchess would be so impressed :))

Berona Report 21 Oct 2010 23:18

Next Thursday Tec. I'm in no hurry for it - I've seen so many already and it will be the last of the seventies.
Next year, I might admit to being old. I'm amazed at what the walking stick has done for me. People open doors and help me up steps when they see it. That is very much appreciated because it does help.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Oct 2010 23:18

Well from what Sue said, it sounds like your choice for the dining room will fit in well with the rest of your house

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Oct 2010 23:22

Many thousands of years ago when we were young students, OH and three others bought a house between them instead of renting. It was in a back to back house in a terrace in a clearance area, so it was incredibly cheap. He wanted to decorate his bedroom,so I pinched all the left over part tins from my dads shed and he did the same at his home. We just started in one corner of the room and painted until the tin ran out, then just started with the next tin and continued like that all around the room. It was different anyway, maybe you could copy our technique

Berona

Berona Report 21 Oct 2010 23:23

I'm glad you included the dining room Tec. I was beginning to think you had forgotten it was looking 'tired' last year. Also, mauve is my favourite colour and your idea of it on the ceiling thoroughly meets with my approval - but don't you think the Duchess should have the last say? I'm imagining the palest of lilac on the ceiling - is that what you have in mind?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 21 Oct 2010 23:24

I don't think you will ever be old Berona if you live to be 110 - I'm glad the walking stick gets doors opened for you etc.
I'm looking forward to your birthday party - hope you've got your best party frock organised.

Tec.
