Hello

I will just sit here quietly admiring the frog on the gum leaf with the little ladybird whilst eating donut bread that Linda made.

Sorry I missed that thread Sandie about Uni students etc... I would've had my say and then that would have been enough to delete the thread.

Amanda - hope you have got the tooth sorted - root canal and crown is fiddly but it is best done. Once upon a time they would've just yanked it out but now there is so much they can do to save your teeth.

I made Banana Bread the other day after all this talk about Bananas and it did not last long - it is very morish.

Love Persey xx

They cover themselves Carole. If the one they decide upon lets them down, then you'll get the job! Don't hang by the thumbs waiting! Better luck next time.

When my son went for an apprenticeship, the dockyard was taking 30. About 250 applied. After the interviews, he heard from friends that they had all received replies, some accepted, some rejected. He was the only one he knew who didn't receive a reply.

Two days after the work commenced, he got a phone call.
Three had failed to show up - so he was in.

Hello Berona

That was lucky for your son.
I wont hold my breath though:-)

It was another warm day today, clouds have started rolling in, so it looks like we'll have some thunder storms tonight.

I am going to stop typing long posts. Three or four times now in the past week they have disappeared into the cyber vacuum. I accidentally bump the mouse, and whoosh - my search engine (Google Chrome) shuts itself off immediately.
Persey, nice to see you.
Good tyhat they will hang on to your resume Carole, but don't hold your breath.
I have joined Facebook under a pseudonym. It is obscurely related to my real name: Colin according to some sources is a variant of Nicholas and my Irish surname could be Englishised. I will let some people know by PM. Please don't feel left out if I don't include you. The photo is real but almost 40 years old. That is how I like to think I look, but the mirror says different. It is a bit cheeky. I have one friend already, my sister. She saw the name and was about to delete it, then saw "Narrabeen" and thought she might know me. We have both had a good giggle. The photo shows me with my dog. I completely forgot the coincidence that her name was Nikki, so it is a photo of Nic with Nikki.

Sounds like our weather. Nice day with storms forecast. Well, the forecast actually says "possibility of some storms", so it doesn't really say anything, does it?

I've been trying most of the day with those photos. I think I finished one lot, but I'm trying to move one from dtr's profile to mine and my machine is so pathetically slow at the best of times - it gets so far, then gets stuck. I'll try again tomorrow.

We have the computer on a small table at the moment and the mouse keeps hanging himself. He fell off the table and there he was hanging by his cord when we got back from the supermarket.

This is supposedly spring but it has been bitterly cold. This weekend is Labour weekend and my mother always said you change into summer clothes then. I know when I worked at the hospital they would turn the heating off and the coolers on at Labour weekend and vice versa at Easter (which really doesn't make sense as Easter time varies from year to year). Sooooooo many people used to get colds, people would come in with a broken leg and go out with pneumonia it was that bad.

I was answering Carole there and didn't see you, Colin, until I submitted.
So you've joined FB now. I don't really use it much but have a quick look at it during the day to see if there is anything new on it.

You cheat! Putting a 40 year old photo up! And I thought the old saying went "Oh vanity, thy name is woman". It should be "man".

Its just started raining here, Berona.

Keep up with the photos, you are doing really well. It took me a while to work it out when I first started. I'm now using Microsoft Office Picture Manager, I'm liking this better. I had a certificate sent to me in an email. It was sent thumbnail size, try as I might, I could not magnify it to read the writing. Ive now downloaded it to my new program, and finally I can read it.

Hi Colin, Next time you type a long post, highlight and save it first before pressing submit. Then if its lost, you can re attach it:-)
