We have seen some beautiful garden displays on our trips to the UK. We went to Stratford on Avon on one trip and the park near the river was just lovely. The Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmonds are also beautiful. When we were in Goathland we saw a number of gardens in full bloom and I took photos to show a friend who is a keen gardener. |

I have a plethora of pots just inside the fence of my verandah area. I have to get them up off the ground for the wet season and have a place to put them. But until the doctor has worked out what's going on with these hernias under a couple of surgery scars I'm not allowed to lift anything heavier than a chair, she told me. |

Hey Tec. I'll send that giant grass over to you with pleasure. I'm now contemplating getting a goat, that's if a goat will eat it. I could tether it to the posts of the water tank stand so that it can't eat any of my good plants. You know goats, they'll eat anything so maybe they'll eat that grass, too. I"ll have to find out. |

When we first moved in here, the hedge at the front of the house was tiny, we planted lots of nice heather plants just inside our garden. When we came out the next morning every single one had gone. We bought some more and replaced them the following week and they were taken again After that, OH took some cuttings from the ground cover plants in the car park at work, they obviously didn't want those and left them alone. The hedge is now very tall,so we can have nicer plants |

Linda - The azaleas are confused because they're all out in flower now, and look wonderful, but they are Spring things, and have only ever flowered in the Spring before. A lot of people have commented on them when passing - how strange! |

I think it is because we had an Indian summer Tec, We have about half a dozen daffodils flowering now, which is totally wrong of course. |

Thank you Tec and Linda for your kind words. I know I live in a very different part of the world to others - even others in Australia. It is beautiful but the snakes, goannas and paralysis ticks thing so too. That could be a drawback to having a goat. |

You must be feeding them with some 'magic' food to get them flowering in Autumn Tec. I wonder if they'll bloom again in Spring. |

Sue, I agree with you whole heartedly. So many people take what you say in a negative frame rather than positive and, in effect, turn it round to mean something that you didn't mean at all. It's so destructive. (I have an ex husband who did that constantly and it's what broke up our marriage in the end because he was believing things that just weren't true). |

I try to see the best in people and will always give people the benefit of the doubt. I also know when to see that in some cases it's too much hard work and I often seem to be doing the work. I find that some people can be quick to say what they think with no regard for good manners but can't take it. As I get older I seem to have less patience with some people. |

I can only imagine what you are going through Pam - but I think to lose a child no matter what age they are must be the most dreadful thing. How sad that your friend's family are so impatient with her. No wonder she wants to spend the time with you. |

That's OK Rach. In fact, they're aren't many Aussies in here. More Brits than anything and we mustn't forget the Welsh, as well. |
