Linda's a bit odd at times, Tec and she gets very confused. I think it's the medication she's on. Don't worry too much - most of the time Linda's ok.

Hello all, That wedding in the woods sounds like a great idea. Couldn't have it in the jungle/rainforest here. Although there are those who wander around Kuranda Village at the spring festival dressed as nymphs and fairies and whatever Having the party here in the rainforest we could be joined by crocodiles and white tailed rats. Or even the Amethestine Python I chased away from trying to eat one of my birds last night.

It was quite funny really. I went out about 8pm because of the noise the birds were making. At that time of night they're usually asleep. -- Saw the snake and decided it was too big for me to handle. So I phone Peter who lives about 500 metres from me at the top of the property.

Next thing, he arrives in his 4WD complete with double barrelled shotgun over his arm. Now just what the heck he thought he was going to do with that, I don't know. The scatter would have ruined the cage. He is a marksman but that was beyond my ken.

Meantime, before he got there, I'd gotten hold of the pole that James said I should use. It has a handle grip at one end with plastic jaws at the other. I'm supposed to put the jaws around the snake, squeeze the grip at the end to close the jaws, then carry (get that, Carry!!!) the snake to the iron box about 50 metres away.

I don't think so!!!!! I couldn't even lift the blinky thing. The snake, that is.

So I put this contraption to better use. I belted the snake with it several times until it went away.

Life in the bush is such fun.

Yes I've noticed that Sue - do you suppose she's one of those people that argues with herself - it's a common condition - better say popular, as Linda would'nt have anything common, even a condition lol.

I see that I'm not going to be able to ignore my birthday. I would like to think that I will be having quite a lot more, but I'm happy for them to come and go quietly.
However, if you must celebrate - Tec, you can come as you are (not if you're in the shower, though) but if you want to dress up, I'll still know it's you and be happy for you to jump out of the cake. Just don't come as a Kewpie Doll, please - I can't imagine the real you dressed in a nappy and a big bow!

Wow - what a story Pam. I was thinking of coming up to your place for an extended holiday (didn't think you'd mind) but I've changed my mind. Rats, crocs and big snakes - oh my!
