I predict the return of Tec soon
Spooks is just about finished

I guess it could be - but I don't think so. One of the problems is that the surname Pullan is sometimes recorded as Pulleyn. I'm getting a little confused now.

Hello everyone

don't know who is here as I haven't read back on the post, had a pm off Tec saying you were asking were I was, sorry to worry you all but it is not because I have been unwell or taking a break that I have been missing but as I have told Tec it is because on Friday I was late back ( 11-20pm ) from friends house, Saturday I spent watching thing's on the TV and last night I got a call to say my elderly Aunt was back in hospital with pneumonia but after visiting her today it has been downgraded to a chest infection. So worry no more I'm fine except my hip is paining like mad now as I have been on my feet since 5-40am till I sat down here on my lappy to join you all.
Thank's for your concern and when I get a chance I will catch up with what has been going on since thursday ( then again I might just skip the last few day's ) lol
Hope all is well with you all

I get so frustrated when dates don't work out. I've slowly worked back with this family but I was given some info. by a contact on here and as I'm checking I'm finding that a few things don't add up. I'm glad I check first before putting it into my family tree. Sheesh.

Bradley is hardly an uncommon name so I sympathise. Is it a small village or a large area.

I'm back,

How well you know my habits Linda, yes I was watching Spooks - then went for a walk in the moonlight, then made supper.

Hello Diane, Thanks for answering my pm. You can't go awol on here without questions being asked you know lol. But it's because we care, not because we're nosy - well we are - but that's another thing lol. Anyway good to see you back.

I am glad that you are OK Diane, we have missed you

It is an area similar to yours Sue, but there are so many trees on line and so many parish records etc available, but nothing seems to match up

Diane Report 25 Oct 2010 22:35

Lol Tec, I know it's because you care ( and nosy ) that you come looking for me hun and that is why I like it on this thread we are all genuinely concerned for each other and are there as friend's when needed.

Morning/eveining all,

This is a quick visit. Got to leave for work in 20 mins. Plus to see accountant this morning. Hope she gets me lots of money back. Yeah, right !!!

Berona, there are snakes in Sydney. When we lived in a 38 townhouse complex in Macquarie Park out near Ryde there was a black snake in the front courtyard one morning. Ex didn’t have a clue about snakes and went out and chased it with a rake. He did manage to kill it but wasn’t aware that it was a deadly one until he came back inside and I told him. Tell you what, he went white. Didn’t chase any more, I can tell you.

The one we had here came back last night and was very feisty; terrorized the birds, I phoned Peter and he came back with his gun and shot it. Don’t have to worry any more - until next time. O worry more about how terrified the poor birds get and they can die of fright.

Carolee, the crocs are protected because years ago they were just about hunted out up here. Skins were sold for heaps of money internationally for handbags, shoes, belts etc. We hardy skin. Once you had something made from croc skin you had it forever. But they put a protection order on them some year ago now and they’ve really multiplied out of sight. They won’t life the protection order, though. That’s why there are sot many around. Mind you, the oldies up in the Gulf and the Territory and up around the Norman River at Normanton don’t heed it much. They still reckon the best way to treat a croc is with a gun. The same way many up here feel about snakes – and I must say I’m starting to agree with them.

Where do you live Carolee??

Good to see you back Diane and that nothing was amiss.

Time for me to get off to work. Hope to have a very quiet night tonight, no snakes. Find it hard to sleep properly when I have that and the safety of the birds on my mind. I know that it’s how the snakes get their food but it really upsets me. I also hate how they show those Richard Attenborough documentaries on TV at dinner time and inevitably show animals stalking, killing and eating each other just as I’m about to put a forkful of food into my mouth.

Pam xx

Hello Pam - see you later:-))

I'm glad all is ok Diane - we do worry.

Linda - I've just found a tree on Ancestry that may fill in a couple of gaps. It looks well research and has the same dates and names as I have with an added bonus of some parish records put on the photos. I shall have a good look.

Hi Tec - isn't it worrying that we know you so well:-))

Hello Pam, You do have adventure up there. Have a good day at work and with accountant - talk to you later.

Sue, I don't mind you all knowing my habits, nothing I would be ashamed to tell my granny lol. I think Linda has her Web Cam trained into my sitting room, I just can't find it.

Diane I'm glad your Auntie isn't as bad as was first thought - good for her.

Linda reading your earlier posts, I think your Council are being unrealistic, or very optimistic, hoping to get the job done for nothing.

Tec.

Diane

Diane Report 25 Oct 2010 23:01

Me too Tec, don't think she could have fought pneumonia after the last stay in hospital, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw her.

Diane

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 Oct 2010 23:03

Diane - I'm also glad your Auntie isn't too ill. What a worry.

Tec - you are not, I hope, inferring that I'm old enough to be your granny.

I think that Linda's council is looking for an excuse for the TIC to fail. It won't be seen to be their fault if it is seen to be the fault of the volunteers.
