Hi from a very soggy my part of the world:-( Its bucketing down!!

As I'm stranded and stuck inside, I've decided to have a peek at online shopping, which Linda mentioned the other day.
Never really payed much attention to online shopping, could be very dangerous to our bank balance. I just spotted an antique Jacobean book case, with lead lighting. The starting bid is for $400.00, am going to keep an eye on it:-))

Daughter is going to a fancy dress party tonight, she is going as Batgirl. Her outfit looks amazing, if she lets me, I will put a photo on FB, so you can all see:-)
Youngest son is going out tomorrow night for Halloween, dressed up as something or another, not sure yet. Should be interesting!!

I'm not really into religion, but, each to their own. It doesn't bother me, I keep an open mind:-))

Right, back to the shopping, only browsing:-)) Or so I told hubby:-)) LOL!!!!

Today was sunshine and showers, but this afternoon we had a tremendous hail storm. The hail was two inches deep, and looked like a snowfall, this was followed by a cloudburst that caused some local flooding. I think the drains were blocked by the hail.

Carole, the Jacobean bookcase sounds interesting. I hope you get a turn in the Bat Girl outfit - sounds like fun.

Amanda, Don't stay up that tree too long, you'll catch a cold lol.

A Doll Show - do you collect dolls? some people do, and antique ones are very valuable.
Should they all talk about you, I'll be sure to defend your integrity, so don't worry lol.
Had a nice surprise today, my daughter and SIL turned up unexpectedly, and stayed a few hours - great to see them.

It's been positively splendid here , I've been out in the garden doing some tidying up and OH did the last cut of the lawn for this year .
We also walked the hounds on Herringfleet Hills ( it isn't a hill really but any slightly now flat land round these parts gets called a hill ....lol ) .

Tec ....was there really that much rain ? lol Even though it was lovely here the ground is still pretty wet , it has rained a lot this year , so much for the BBQ summer we where all hoping for : (
I actually picked myself a nice little bunch of Roses today , I have them on my kitchen windowsill to admire . I thought of you TEc when I picked a red one ( I was remembering your strange caller and the request for a red rose to bury with a hamster ) .

I don't think daughter was impressed by the weather. Fortunately it cleared up before they left.
Yes it was all the nicer seeing daughter unexpected - I think she realises that if she told us she was coming we would run about getting ready and preparing meals - as it was they bought their own lunch anyway so there was nothing to do.

Yes Amanda, the rain was horrendous and water running past the house like a river, I've never seen this place like that before.
I have an amazing display of azaleas at the moment, pink and white, usually flower in March. There are some roses still in bud as well.

Diane, You'll be fluent in Welsh in no time - lol.

Lol Tec, I do that every Thursday when my daughter and the girl's come to visit, my excuse to clean the flat lol.

Not to bad at the moment Amanda, was paining me earlier today when I was out shopping with employer and his mum.
I finally got a letter from the hospital today to ring them and make an appointment to see Orthopaedic specialist.

Maybe you are beginning to get somewhere toward getting something done for your hip Diane, I hope so. Be sure to tell them how it affects you, and your work.
