Hi Berona - we had torrential rain from about 6 yesterday evening till around 10pm and then it came back for about an hour this morning. It's just soggy now.

So much for the new TV ...lol....OH has got himself in such a muddle recording two programmes at once that I can't see the programme I've been waiting for : ( Never mind , it will probably be on again later in the week .

i got side tracked tonight when I realised that I could get a 24hour free trial of the Australian Find my past site, with no need to give any credit card details.
I do have the full subscription to the English version of the site, but the records are different.
I have loads of ancestors in Australia, mainly in the Geelong area. I have lots of info but was disappointed to not be able to find anything. Just at the last minute, I have found some good newspaper reports from 1860 about the splitting up of the family business

Well I watched Spooks, now just have to dig the bullet holes out of the walls lol.
I'm sure Spring weather will arrive in NSW soon, then we in the frozen topside will be green with envy.

I am glad that you have a new telly Amanda. My son has one of the huge all singing all dancing ones, but I think it is too big
It has been quite mild today Tec, but the forecast is on now and it says it is going to be a windy night and for the next few days, it just had wall to wall rain

It was a nice sunny morning here Linda, but this afternoon it rained heavily and the wind got up. I took OHs leg to the clinic in the rain.

Amanda the tele sounds good. We had a new one last Christmas, 32 inch screen, quite big enough for our room.

Sue I hope your little boy is better now, and bouncing about again.

Hello Tec , OH is watching Spooks at the moment ,he recorded it earlier .

Weather wise it's not been to bad here today but it has gone cold this evening .

I'm back after watching my programme, if I suddenly disappear again it will be because I'm waiting for my daughter to ring back. She is concerned about some test she is to have and want's to know what certain word's mean, so I'v been checking the internet. It seem's she may have a problem either because of family genes or more likely one of the tablet's she take's to keep her alive is the cause of the problem.

She has just phoned so must go ( sorry )

I sneaked over to FB and was caught up when I saw three of my friends and ME on the R.H.side of the screen - under the caption of "do you know these people".
I then made the mistake of clicking on my own name but found it an empty profile - and an email was waiting for me in my Inbox saying "welcome back to Facebook".
Not only that, but it was the wrong Inbox. I don't use that address for Facebook!......Totally confusing, so I have send FB an email asking them to fix it.
Now I'm back here at last.

Amanda I couldn't programme my VCR into the new tele, and my DVD player doesn't record, so I can't record anything, which is annoying at times. I am thinking of getting a DVD recorder.

My son's telly is enormous. It was a luxury he allowed himself when he came home from East Timor. It's way too big for the room but we watched a movie about Nelson Mandela and it was wonderful on the big screen.

Drew is back to school - raring to go. Unfortunately he told his teacher that he did "lots of poos but it's all gone now". My daughter was embarrassed but I thought it was hilarious.

Wait til your daughter rings up with little Eve's comments - it's so funny for us as grandparents but so embarrassing for the parents. Our revenge for the times our children made such comments:-))

Tec , we have a DVD recorder / digital box thingy . It can record two programmes at a time ( but when it's doing that you can't actually watch the telly , just something else that has already been recorded ) , it's all far to complicated for my little mind .......lol

Berona , I just ignore any of those " do you know " prompts that appear in the left hand corner . I hope you have sorted it out .

I am really tired,so am going to turn in. Sorry I have not been paying much attention to the thread, I have been trying to find as many things as i can from my 24 hour trial. I have solved one mystery in my tree, so will see what else I can find out tomorrow,
