I do hope you aren't asking any of us to lead you astray Tec - I won't have that on this thread *wink*

Hello Diane - that sounds like a lovely night out. Lucky you.

Sandie - we'll cheer you up:-)) Not that easy I should think.

Hello Diane,

I hope you enjoy the show - the music should be good, and the dancing.
My grand daughter and her friend went to see Dirty Dancing when they were in London a couple of weeks ago, with my daughter. The girls really enjoyed the show.

You will have to find a Welsh speaker to practice on, there must be thousands of them in Liverpool. It was once known as the Capital of North Wales.

Tec.

Yes Sue I am lucky arn't I, I don't often get the chance to go anywhere like that but when my son spotted it on the Echo Arena site ( he was looking at the Dr Who venue in Dec ) and came across the Lord of the Dance venue and mentioned it to his sister.

Linda Riverdance is good but is not a patch on Lord of the Dance or Feet's of flame, I have all 3 on tape and also Celtic Tiger on DVD but as of yet have not watched the DVD. The speed of Michael's feet in Feet's of flame is unbelievable and got him in the guiness book of record's.

Sue - Would I be so crass as to ask anyone here to lead me astray? :))

Perhaps not Tec:-)) Wait till I come over to the UK and pick everyone up in a bus. Your village will never be the same and your reputation will be in shreds. Won't that be wonderful?

Tec I alway's thought we were the Capital of Ireland oopps no we are the gateway to Ireland ( silly me )
I love musical's and would love to see dirty dancing and Mama Mia, will have to wait and see if they return, another one is the new adaption of War of the World's, I'v heard it is brilliant and that the lighting and stage affect's are fantastic ( different at every show ).

Diane - I have a DVD of War of the Worlds on stage. Justin Hayward is fantastic - I could listen to his voice all day. The stage effects are incredible.

Hello all (makes me sound a bit English, innit?
First, a belated non-answer to Beona. I don't watch Home & Away, but even if I did I probably could not recognise the bird sounds. However, only the outside scenes were filmed at Palm Beach and I think that in normal TV and film practice the soundtrack is added later. So the birds could be anywhere, including stock recordings. Apart from obvious things like seagulls, if the sounds are at all musical it could include butcher birds and currawongs. The latter are a large, black bird with some white on the rump and tail area. The reason I thought of them is that one is trying to build a nest in a tree just outside our office at Botany. If it is the same bird as last year, it is getting better but has some way to go.
I also keep up with the thread every couple of days, so at least generally know what is going on. But with work I have been getting so tired. I am off today, a day in lieu but don't plan much. It is fine but overcast grey at the moment and there have been showers overnight.
Hello $andie, the blues can be a real pain. And hope you enjoy the show Diane.

Hi all~~

Love the talk about vehicles, bikes ,motorbikes, cars had them all, always was a tomboy.
Dad used to cycle 30 miles each way to work when he first started work with the Post office, he then progressed to a motorbike, then one with a side car when he started a family, but never wanted a car .lol
I used to cycle a lot when I was courting :) Then I had a motorbike before going onto a car.

Also a set of ladders ended up in the middle of the garden, and I had to tape down the letterbox to stop if banging all day..kept going to the door thinking there was someone knocking.lol
