Amanda, i had a problem last year when i tried to upgrade my AVG, the new installation kept failing (I have the paid version) I kept getting an error message when the installation failed, I spent ages with the help desk,but they were useless. I googled the error and came up with a really geeky website which helped.
I couldn't un install it, I didn't write it down but I know I had to search and then remove every single AVG file,once I had done that, I could install the new one with no problem

Oh great - we're watching the news about a Qantas flight emergency landing in Singapore. There was an explosion:-(

Qantas was sold some time ago. Until then, it had an excellent safety reputation.
