I know that you would never cavort with other women Tec, i was only teasing you. In any case the Duchess would kill you!!!

Good Morning Berona,

I've been driving since I was 17 yrs old, and still have a clean licence, never having had an accident. I don't think the one parking ticket counts.
Trouble is now that I've got accustomed to country roads in rural areas, I am out of my depth in city conditions. I find the standard of driving in the city has deteriorated, and very aggressive.

Yes I know you were only teasing Linda, I do have a sense of humour you know. But, if I were playing away, the Duchess wouldn't kill me, because she couldn't catch me lol.

Glad you enjoyed the meet, and the spot of shopping. That was a full day you had with the bonfire in the evening, so no wonder you were tired.

I have been shopping again today. I was looking for something to wear at the naming ceremony because obviously nothing I already have will do.The clothes I bought yesterday were not suitable for that,so we went out for lunch today and then to the designer outlet on the far side of York. OH was very bored, but it was his suggestion that we went there. I did manage to get something suitable, plus some jeans and a new coat lol

Nice to hear that your meet was good, Linda. Also, any day which finishes with you coming home with new clothes - has got to be a successful day! Were there many there?

Tecwyn Report 7 Nov 2010 21:51

Isn't it strange that whenever a lady has a new engagement to attend, she never has anything to wear that is appropriate.

Whereas us men flog our suits to death and always look well dressed ::)))

You should buy your OH a dog Linda, then he could stand outside the shops and play with the dog, and not be bored.

Unfortunately nor Berona, there were only ten of us, a fair number of the people who expressed interest couldn't come in the end. Still it was very nice because we could all get round one large table and have a good chat. I have been to a few meets of different sizes, one huge one, but I think I like the smaller ones best. I am not at all shy and am happy to go to strange places and meet new people. They are always very nice

Ah, but the designer outlet has lots and lots of shops in a mall, so as it is inside dogs are not allowed. Any way he did buy some socks..I did try to get him to buy a new shirt, but he was grumbling at the prices and wouldn't

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Nov 2010 22:04

I know what your OH means Linda, I recently saw a shirt I rather liked, but it was £45, I would not pay that for a shirt, I'd want two for that lol.

OH was muttering about charity shops, I am considering disowning him

Today I backed up everything on my laptop onto an external hard drive.
The EHD requires up-dating once a month. What I want to know is, if I delete something from my laptop, is this also deleted from the EHD next time I up-date it?

Tec.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Nov 2010 22:12

I don't think so Tec, it would stay on the external hard drive unless you delete it from there as well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Nov 2010 22:17

Thanks Linda, I just wondered, you know how dim I am about these things.
At least now I know I won't lose anything if the laptop goes kapput.

I've been writing my life story for two years and would hate to lose it now.
