That is a long time to have to wait, just as bad as this country.

I am off to bed early to watch TV. i have to be up early as we have a joiner (carpenter) coming early tomorrow. he is going to sand the kitchen worktops back to take the old varnish off and all the marks out.It is going to make an awful mess. It seemed like a good idea having solid wood worktops, but in retrospect it wasn't.

I hope you manage to hop onto the thread again Allan.

Sorry I didn't get back earlier to have a natter with you all but I needed to make a call to my dad as he left a message on my BT answer message system at 10-30pm last night and it worried me. Rang him tonight and after a talk with him I'm convinced he is having problem's with his memory. He say's he doesn't remember ringing me last night, so I got my son to record the message he left so I could play it to him, to cut a long story short I am ( again ) concerned about him.

Allan good to see you posting hun and hope you join us on a regular basis again, have missed your little jokes of humour and I think Tec would be glad for another male around as he is outnumbered by the sisterhood.

Well I got up really early but the joiner didn't grrrr

Anyway he is now using a belt sander on the kitchen worktops. All the doors are closed, but I can still taste the dust in the air,so the whole house will need cleaning from top to bottom. We moved all the things on the kitchen worktops, but I couldn't face emptying all the cupboards. I know they are going to be full of dust, but I thought that it would just be easier to wash everything and put it back one cupboard at a time. I can have a god sort out as well.

Forecast wrong again. Should have had thunderstorms during the night, but everything's dry, so don't know what's in store for us to-day. Sky is grey but the sun is trying to get through.

Our weather forecasters have been quite accurate lately - strange, but true.
Today was bright and sunny with a cold wind. High of 8 C, and tonight will be minus 2 C.
Tomorrow is forecast a high of 7 C. So a bit on the cool side.
I must dig my jumpers out.

Same here Berona - weather warning about thunderstorms but nothing happened except for a few drops of rain. The sun is shining and it may be a nice day - we'll see:-))

Had a lovely morning yesterday with my daughter and the twins. Joel conned me into buying him a Scooby Doo dvd - because it's his 'favourite' despite never having watched it. I then just had to buy Aimee a sparkly beaded necklace. I think I have 'soft touch' written all over my face:-))

I had two Grandma's.
One had "soft touch" written on her face.

The other had "forget it" written on hers.

Soft touch was quite poor.
Forget it was quite wealthy.
