I like your use of the word 'disconcerting', Tec. Is that left over from your life at sea?

It reminded me of when I was on the ship going to England - some old fogies (over-) dressed and socialising in the Lounge, complained of those who walked through the Lounge in swimsuits.
The announcement, which couldn't offend any of the passengers - stated that 'whilst some people don't object to others walking through the Lounge in swimwear - there are those who find it rather disconcerting'. Nicely put.

I thought you might like to read him if you want a laugh.

His book is called Deer Hunting with Jesus....

Himself is reading it and has been laughing a lot and reading out extracts.
It is about the class war in the US.
There was an interview done on our National radio with him, himself liked what he hear so ordered the book from the library.

Talking of miss reading word's
my son showed me the word ( Marjorie ) and asked me to say it and I did ( properly I might add ) when he saw the word he thought it was pronounced ( Madgarie ) and when he phoned the person to speak to her he called her Madgarie, she laughed and corrected him, other's in the office were laughing their head's off when he came off the phone.

He started writing quite late really - Angela's Ashes was such a big hit here.

Sadly he only got to put out five books.

Well must away - need to get the bin ready for collection tomorrow.
