Sue, the film was mainly filmed in Kettlewell in North Yorkshire, but Skipton did feature amongst over places

I have just realised how late it is. I need to be up at a reasonable time tomorrow because I have a course to attend. I have been waiting since last year for the local arts centre to find a tutor to take a one day course on using Photoshop. why they advertised a course when they didn't have a tutor for it is beyond me.

Anyway they phoned on Tuesday to say it was running this Saturday,did I still want a place? I have had such a busy week, I could have done without it, but I don't want to miss it.

So goodnight everyone, enjoy your sunshine down under and I hope you have a peaceful night Tec and Diane who has already gone

As I said before - our weather is crazy. The temperature reached 33 today, then at about 4pm, we had wild winds which blew a few trees down and a heavy downpour of rain. From start to finish wouldn't have been ten minutes! It then fined up and the temperature was still 33, but this time, with more humidity.

What is this doing down on page three again?

Your weather reminds me of when we used to go to Florida in the summer Berona. It would be very hot and humid and evryday about 4pm, there would be a torrential thunderstorm, then ten minutes later the ground would be all dry again

Good Evening,

WHOOPEE WHOOPEE I won £10 on the lottery.
That'll pay for the phone call to book the thread cruise anyway.

How did the Photoshop course go Linda?

Tec.

Don't get carried away Tec, pace yourself.

Up at the top of our Genes page is this pinned - Read the Genes Reunited blog - which I have never looked at until this morning after someone on genes commented on it.

Rupert Penry-Jones - is mentioned on there Tec - several items down the page.

I should learn photo shop - I can't even organise my photos on facebook.
I am also not very good at inserting them into my letters with the words surrounding them etc - I get it done but in a cackhanded way.

The course was very good, but it was from 10-4.30pm, so I have a headache from staring at the screen all day, also my hand is aching from using the mouse all day long. I will be able to have a go at restoring some of my old photos now

That's a long time at the puter Linda - did you get a nice lunch... she says thinking of her stomach?

Edit: will I be able to airbrush my pictures?

LindainHerriotCountry Report 13 Nov 2010 21:33

We only had half an hour for lunch, but we had to buy it ourselves. I just had some soup in the little cafe

Good Morning Persey,
Good Evening Linda,

Persey I've never looked at the GR blog either,
Rupert Penry-Jones a brilliant actor, last saw him in a re-hash of The 39 Steps, he was good in that. They killed him off in Spooks.

The Photoshop course was worthwhile then Linda, but a long day to be at the screen. There are people who restore old photo's on RootsChat, it's amazing what can be done. Someone recently had telegraph poles and cars etc removed from a photo to "age" the street scene - very effective.

Good morning/evening ladies.

Linda - my OH has been hoping to do a Photoshop course for ages. He can do a lot and has restored quite a few old photos but there is so much more he doesn't know. Over the last couple of weeks we've received the grandchildren's school and preschool photos so he played with the photos yesterday and put the 3 of them on 1 photo with a neutral background and made them wallet sized for our daughter and her OH.

It's very humid here and already looking a little thundery. We had a few claps of thunder yesterday afternoon, 5 minutes of heavy rain and then the sun came out making the late afternoon very humid.

Today we are going out for lunch as the organisation we work for is celebrating 20 years. Should be good:-))

Hello everyone .

I was occupied last night being a babysitting Nanny for Emily so didn't join in on the thread , I'll have to have a read back and find out if I missed anything .

Berona , I don't like the sound of your sudden weather changes are they " normal " for your location ?

Linda , the Photo-shop course sounds interesting . I've been saying I'll do a digital camera course for years but never seem to get round to it .

Tec , congratulations on your winnings .... next time might be the big one .

~~~~~ to Persey .
I enjoyed him in 39 Steps - so different from his character in Spooks. I was never happy when he lost his wife in Spooks - I thought that was too cruel.
