Hi Amanda - the day is glorious. I think we'll probably go down to our local markets. Just strolling around is heaven on a day like today. |

Careful Sue - you know what happens when you go to markets. If these markets sell plants - you're a goner! |

Well I hope you have a lovely stroll round the market Sue , I did the same thing in the week but it wasn't as alluring as you've made it sound as it was perishing cold .....lol |

I know Berona - but even I can see that there has to be a limit to the number of plants you can pot or plant in the garden. |

Sue , it sounds as if your talking about , what we over here would call a " car boot sale " ? Our " market " is in the centre of town and has stalls on a Wednesday and Saturday , selling clothes , handbags , DIY , pet products , etc etc basically a variety of things , the market stalls are not permanent fixtures , the stall holders travel about to different towns during the week , although there are some permanent stalls and the ones that sell chips and fresh veg are always open ( except Sundays ) . |

Hello Tec ...... you've reminded me of a forgotten memory of Annabelle the goat , she lived in the disused drill hall behind our house , when I was a child , the shout went up one day that she had escaped , she was found eating the washing of someones line a few hours later .....lol |

Yes it's the same as your car boot sales Amanda - I've been to a few of those:-)) We went to one near Hornsea in 2008 and my brother was able to buy a couple of military badges. He's made a display of our military history so he was really pleased to get cap badges for the regiments ancestors were in. |

Amanda , I like goats, but they are the daftest things. A friend of mine keeps sheep on the mountain, but a neighbours goat keeps escaping and getting in with the sheep. The only way he can catch the goat is to surround it with sheep in a tight circle using the dogs, then bring the whole lot down the mountain into the yard, and catch the silly goat that way. |

As we have vacant land behind us we used to have a goat to keep the grass down. Long grass means snakes in warm weather and the threat of a fire. Someone baited the poor thing and we were so upset we never got another one. Lately OH has been talking about getting another one as it's a big job cutting both front and back lawns as well as the large area over the fence. |

Sue ..... I don't go to car boot sales often , my house is full to bursting with ornaments , books etc , I really ought to have a big sort out and do a boot sale myself to shift some of it ....lol |
