It's an anxious time for the families Sue, but I'm sure everyone's doing everything that can be done. We feel sorry for everyone involved, but particularly so for the 17 yr old lad whose first day in the mine it was.

I think GR have a very cavalier attitude toward their membership - not a word of explanation - a case of like it or lump it, but I can see people losing their patience and just no bothering with it.

Sad about the miners in N.Z. To not know whether they are alive (and starving by now) or whether they died during the explosion - must be terrible for those trying to get to them and those waiting at the top.
At least, in Chile, the rescuers were able to communicate and send food while the drilling went on.

As there doesn't seem to be any change in this site since yesterday, I would like to know if GR have finished what they are doing? If not, fair enough, we can wait for them to finish and ignore the fact that our pages are still shrinking - but I think they should let us know.

I've just watched the live news conference from the NZ mine. It isn't looking good at all. They sent the robot in but it hit water and malfunctioned. Now they are waiting for a much advanced one from Western Australia. They have teams of people ready but because of the gases they can't go in. They have no way of knowing how the miners are or where exactly they are. But wherever they are isn't good. How sad.

I was just thinking about you, and hoping you've had no more chest pains. Yes it is freezing isn't it? There's a draught around my ankles enough to freeze my feet off, no idea where from.
Well tomorrow you see the consultant is it? I truly hope he can help you. Don't pull any punches, tell him exactly what it's like and that the pain is intolerable. Grab him by the throat if you have to - I'll come and bail you out LOL.

I think we on the East coast are going to get the brunt of the cold weather in a few days . I'll take your advice and stay in as much as I possibly can , I'm not overly keen on walking in on slippery surfaces ....lol

I thought I saw Sandie there, but when I tried to go back a page or two, I was snapped back to this page.

I had better go too. Expecting a grocery delivery any time from now, so I'll need to open the door for the delivery man. Why do people who deliver, always run? Are they overburdened with deliveries? or are they afraid of being caught by a 'bored housewife'?
If I fall into this category - I'm flattered!!!
