Hello Perse,
Just spotted you as about to make my exit.

Thing is Perse you would have been instantly recognisable with that boot and nothing else on..............

I have saddled up Montgomery and last I heard he was halfway across Africa......should be with you soon. He likes jelly babies by the way.

I really am off now as OH is giving me "the look"

Hello Allan

I loved your galah story - my dad worked on a farm as a youth and they had a cockatoo - it used to call out to the dog by name and say "way back"etc and the dog would bring the cows in for milking. The cockatoo just sounded like Jim the Farmer. The dam bird could also mimic the farmer's wife and would yell out "Jim - dinners ready" and poor Jim never knew whether it was the wife or the bird. Dad reckoned it was a right card - would sit on his shoulder at the dining table and say in his ear "give me some or I'll peck your knee" and if you didn't oblige he would go under the table and do just that - then pretent it wasn't him.

They are very astute - same with our Kakapos and Keas - right little smarty pants.

Hi Persey

How's the foot doing?

Persephone Report 1 Mar 2010 23:36

Weird - I'm hot but my toes are cold - I have a sock on in my Mexican moonboot. Get really hacked off with crutches and Berona is right it is darn hard to manage a handbag as well. I had to swap my put everything in it handbag for a little wee one - and then I have to wear it right across my shoulder like a sambrown belt. Tried just having it on the one shoulder and it slid down then got tangled in the crutch and ended up on the ground. Also am sick of lying down and sitting around - I hate not being able to be out and about walking.

Persey - groan whinge

Hi everyone:-))

Hello Persey:-))

Maybe you should try a backpack, how long are you in plaster/moonboot? Hugs for you honey, I would be very frustrated by now, not being able to get around.

When is Diane's birthday? My son turns 14 tomorrow the 3rd of March. Yippee!!!
He's having a day off school, we are going shopping and doing lunch:-))
Waves to our Diane:-)))

Well there ya go:-)) Had a quick look when I'm supposed to be working and two of my favourite people show up.

Persey I'm sure it's driving you mad not being able to get up and go.

Carole - happy birthday to your son for tomorrow. It's my eldest grandson's birthday tomorrow too. That's why we're flying down to Hobart. He's 6 y.o. I can't believe it. We first saw him when he was only 10 minutes old. I'll never forget the sight of my tough soldier son holding his son with tears streaming down his face. A wonderful moment.

I will send Diane some balloons - via e-mail not with one of Allan's one cent stamps.

Happy Birthday to your son Carole - I looked for you on the Horsey thread last night.

And a Happy Birthday to your six year old Grandson Sue. Wish I was flying in to Hobart... the first time I saw that airport thought uh oh where have I come to - is this the flying doctors. But it was really lovely travelling into the city over the bridge at night. There is no other place like Hobart.

Our wedding Anniverary today but I don't think someone has realised. When it got to our Silver one we all forgot. Too busy. How sad is that?

Must go Persey xx

Hello OMG what was your name again
martocktodevilland - had to copy and paste.

Where abouts in Hobart do you hail from - your state is so underpopulated just love travelling on the roads there - no snazzards our motorway becomes a parking lot during peak hours. I only once saw a police officer apprehending someone on the motorway south of Launceston (or Lornie as they say there). Your flora and fauna etc is wonderful - was there when Russell Falls was full on - got wet standing on the pathway trying to take a movie of it.

Happy birthday Diane, I made this just for you.
Now this is going to be a test to see who can manage to leave the cake alone until the party. No breaking off bits of the exquisite icing, or I shall notice

Glad I dropped in - everyone getting ready for Diane's party!!! Don't you dare start without me!

Happy birthday to all those having one to-day!!

Perse - I sympathise with you. My OH 'forgot' two of my birthdays - and upset me! However, he NEVER forgot our anniversaries and always bought me a present, even though I never bought him one! I pacified myself with the idea that our wedding day meant more to him than what age I was! (well, I like to think that's how it was, anyway!).
