Good evening/morning to all

Sue, have a fantastic time in Tassie, and don't worry about a thing!........worry about many things!

Tec and myself footloose and fancy free again.

Linda I'd have needed a glass or two of something before even attempting to operate a sewing machine.

Berona, don't believe Persey! It was the drink again!

Tec, we have a few things to discuss, and plans to make! Secret Men's Business so don't let the girls know

And the added difficulty of turning by hand and guiding material under the foot - I think it would have been a hoot. I would've needed fortification before I started not afterwards. My sewing might have been straighter my mother always said my sewing was as crooked as a dog's hind leg.

I think it sounds like a lot of fun - what a wonderful idea!! I've been involved in the making of one fundraising quilt but we didn't have any near the fun and there was definately no alcohol:-))

Tec - yes my mother is coming along with us. It's nice for four generations to get together but my mum, bless her, can be an awkward person. She gets bored easily and doesn't like sitting and socialising. Still I wouldn't pass up the chance of four generations getting together. She is my grandson's only great grandparent.

Berona, I can vouch for the fact that you did in deed request the quick step. I remembrance reading that when i looked in when I got home.

Oh by the way, i have spent the afternoon," doing a Berona"

I went through the drawers in my bedroom and cleared lots of things out

Tecwyn Report 3 Mar 2010 21:31

Berona I'm sorry I had gone to bed, but my batteries run out quickly these days, unlike you bright young sparks who can dance 'till dawn.

Allan has the next birthday on the 17th, and you won't have so far to travel.

Linda my foot has a very definite break and there is another line where it might be broken or it could be just the x-ray showing this line. I can't say that I was comforted by the othopaedic surgeon telling me it might be but don't know - I enjoyed my coffee more from their Muffin Break Café. Food has a lot of healing qualities... especially chocolate.

Hello Sue, your trip sounds lovely, just give your mother some "non alcoholic " cordial and i am sure she will become sociable.

Allan, I could just imagine you and Tec quilting at our gathering last night.

Perse I kept looking under the table for the foot control, but it wasn't there. It is much easier to use two hands to guide the fabric with an electric machine

I love how you men don't believe you are being "handled". The subtlies of "handling" the men in our lives has been handed down over countless generations. You don't even notice it:-)))

I think there should be a word for Linda's quilting followed by wine.

"Quilticated"

Though on second thoughts maybe not, I just looked up quilticated in Google and this is what it said:
He sashayed through the pile and quilticated into the end zone for the score right as the clock passed wind, gagged one last time and flopped over.

Sue - I have to agree and it all harks back to Eve again.

Good Morning Allan,

Thanks for helping clear up the mess the girls left us to clear up - I haven't told Sue about the broken crystal glasses, but as she was carried out of Diane's feet first, I doubt she will even remember being there.

Yes, we must hurry and hatch a plot - this lot will never find us this time, shouldn't be too difficult to outwit them surely.

But Sue, we men let you think that you are 'handling' us. That, too, has been handed down over counless generations!

And you don't even realise :0))

Quilticated does indeed sound like a good word perse. I googled it and opened the link, but I couldn't follow it

Sue,

I think you will find that most men are well aware when they are being "handled" but are content to go along with it in the interests of peace and matrimonial harmony.

I have always admired Mahatma Ghandi and his philosophy of passive resistance.........most of the men in your life will exercise that philosophy from time to time.........haven't you noticed?

Tec I find clearing up so easy

Just bring a wheelie bin in and everything gets swept into it.

Mind you i did hear some glass breaking, and it sounded expensive.

So Persey, does that mean that you were 'maticated'? :0))
