Good Evening Pat,

Of course England will win the World Cup?
Was there ever any doubt!

But only because Wales aren't in it lol.

I have no idea Tec - Allan came up with Maticated for my doormat mishap and I looked it up on google and found these mugs from OZ.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 3 Mar 2010 22:07

WILL I HAVE TO DIE NEVER KNOWING WHAT MATICATION IS?

I think the Welsh should always be in any Rugby or Football match - there is nothing like their singing. All finals should have the Welsh playing.
A special dispensation should be decreed.

Allan Report 3 Mar 2010 22:09

Good evening Pat

Tec I used the word maticated (which I thought was a 'new' word) as Persey mentioned the word Quilticated to indicate someone who would do quilting after partaking of a few drinks.

I used my word to indicate someone who falls of mats, sometimes with unforseen and painful consequences.

On Googling it seems that there is a word 'matication' and it is somthing to do with surgery or the medical world.

Thank you Persey,

Allan does come up with some good words - but I'm still none the wiser.

Thank you Allan, perhaps I'm better off not knowing then.

Persey, I agree the Welsh should be in every final , if only to give the others a chance.

Good evening Pat, I don't think that you are an optimist in thinking that England will win the world cup - just deluded lol

Perse the Aussie cricket team has not been the same since that fine upstanding Mr warne stopped playing

hi Tec,
Matication is a new word. I can understand how soeone can fall over a mat after a few drinks but how can you fall off a mat unless it was a flying carpet!

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 3 Mar 2010 22:20

Pat, I think Perse has mats three feet deep - must have.

I must away and rest my foot - but before I go Tec

Did you ever see the Mini Series (4 hours) called "Above and Beyond"?
It is about the Atlantic Ferry Organization, which was tasked with delivering aircraft from North America to Europe in the early years of the Second World War. Before New Foundland became part of Canada. Was made in 2006 and we just got to watch it here - think we are second to last in the queue at getting these things before Nicaragua.

I am going to sign off now because my eyes are all gummed up. I have an allergy to some types of cats and unfortunately our hostess of last evening has one of the offending cats. I was quite wheezy by the time I left last night and my eyes have been very sore all day Despite shooing it out the nosey thing kept coming back in.

It is odd because I don't react to all cats. A friend has two, the short haired one doesn't bothered me, but the long haired one has be whhezing almost straight away.

If you look in again,Sue have a great time, plus a wave to Diane, if you have recovered from last night

Yes indeed Linda Mr Warne makes Mr Botham look like a saint.

Pat - I stepped out with my left foot right on the edge of the mat it rolled over (would have been lurched over if I had been drinking) and my foot also rolled off my sandal and even though I did not go down in a heap I yelled and managed to hobble and crawl to the couch. I now have my leg encased in a moonboot from being maticated (broken bone along edge of foot think it is tibia or is that the cat)

Maybe I am tibiated..... sorry Tec
