Hello Persey...

We have had more rain this arvo, it was quite frightening driving home from the cinema with lightening going off overhead, going 100 Ks down the freeway. Its stopped again, thank god!!!
I think the storms are going to hit Tassie, I hope Sue is safe!!!!

Allan.. did you fix your name? You should be able to change it back if you go to the community page.

Berona, I still cant believe you haven't had any of this rain!!!!

I hate driving in really bad rain Carole. A couple of times it has been so bad that every car on the road had to stop and wait for it to pass over. One of those times was on a motorway where it is illegal to stop unless it is an emergency breakdown.

When I was young, a friend's mother was killed when she was struck by lightening. She had gone outside to bring in the washing from the line because it was starting to rain

I am wearing a football jersey - cause of Tec's comments about footballers who had metatarsal fractures - eg David Beckham and Tec asked me to play for Newcastle (not sure whether that is good or bad) I will start by handing out the orange segments at half time.

Sorry to hear of your friend Linda and her hip problems etc - what with her and my friend on hols in WA who just happened to ride one of the grandchildren's bikes fall off and break both arms really puts my injury way down on the list of ailments. I am just pi**ed off with myself as I am one of these hurry bunnies and am here there and everywhere. So take no notice of my woe woe and thrice woe - just doing my Shakespearean dramatics.

Carole - I had already planned to go and see Alice in Wonderland - have been watching our movie reporter interivewing the various stars in it and it looks fascinating and I do so love my Alice books. There was a big article in our weekend paper last week about Mia Wasikowska who is absolutely delightful plus she is an Aussie .

Linda
I hate it too, I was scared, though I didn't want to let on to my daughter.
All I could think of was, to get home as soon as possible.
If you get a chance, google Melbourne weather for yesterday, it was unreal!!!

I don't think that the professional footballers have oranges at half time! the strip is very fetching, black and white stripes. They are called the magpies and the ground is St James' Park. It is right in the centre of Newcastle and I have driven past it on many occasions. When I was a youngster, they were my nearest team, not that I was interested in football.

You must be really fed up with your alternative footwear. have you taken to decorating it like they used to do with the plaster casts?

I have just looked at the weather Carole. Tennis ball sized hail stones sound drastic

Time I moved myself and braved outdoors, though the white frost covering the grass means it isn't that tempting.

I may just allow my self to be side tracked as I pass through the kitchen and make a cup of coffee.

See you all later.

I'm not professional yet Linda - so oranges will be okay I can graduate to whatever they have at a later date. Black and white stripes - no I would prefer a blackwatch tartan jersey. Magpies can be vicious little so and sos.

Decorate my boot - it is fabric with steel bars and steel encasement of foot and heaps of velcro - has three straps around the leg and when I undo them the darn velcro gets attached to the carpet so they are now a bit fluffy. I guess I could embroider butterflies, birds and flowers on them. I used to do embroidery as youngster I have heaps of table cloths and doilies etc that I don't use and the majority have my handiwork on them.

Hello all, many thanks for your warm welcomes to the Thread.

Are you all Australians?

The Community Board name change informs me that the name Allan is already in use and will not accept my request!

So Allam it will have to be until I can find the other member and quietly dispose of him!

Carole, please take care. I see that Victoria is expecting more storms :0((

Hello Candie Caine (what a sweet name)

Are you related to Michael Caine by any chance?

That list of rules and regulations looks a bit intimidating and I'm not sure that I can comply

I have always been a bit of a rebel and have taken part in several Revolutions my nickname at one time was Spinner)

In fact it is generally acknowledged that I am extremely revolting.

However I will try to abide with the rules, at least whilst this Mad Donna person is here. I hope I have spelt that correctly as I think that Mad Donna is latin for Mother

Hello!

May I call you Linda. I take it from your title that you live in Lancashire?

I'm not a mordant!

I was born in Cheshire and was raised as an Anglican but I do try to avoid relgious issues!

I can also clarify that 'it' is a male

Hello everyone! Allan - you could find that the name Allan belongs to you! Sounds weird, I know, but on more than one occasion, there has been a change, either I have made it or the site has, and I have lost my board name - only to find out later, that it belongs to my original application and my new application is considered as something different. Did I explain that right?
Maybe you could email them and explain this.
(or are you going incognito to try fooling the Sisterhood???. You won't do that, you know - we're awake to that one!).

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Mar 2010 21:53
