I have four birthdays in the family this week - so I'm off to buy cards and wrapping paper. Sleep well or have a nice day!

Bye Berona

I hope that you have a great day

Your evening sounds interesting Linda - we normally don't get the chance to see inside the NT houses after dark - I've often wondered what they look like then, very atmospheric I would think.

I can't imagine what it must be like looking after three new babies all at once - the bottles, the nappies. How do you pick up three babies when they're all crying together?
It is too much for this old guy to think about - so I won't.

I have to go to bed now,
So enjoy your day everyone,
sleep well in the frozen North.

Goodnight everyone, including CC, Diane, and Pat

CC, welcome back

Did you get a tan on your 'holiday' or were you just browned off?

OH and I had a great day, but she is away tonight for Choir reheasals

LOL CC

My wife is in the Bunbury Catholic Liturgical Choir and sings Alto.

Don't let the name of the choir put you off, it is open to anyone regardless of what religion they may follow.

Their big year will be next year when they sing at the consecration of the new Bunbury Catholic Cathedral.

The old one was so badly damaged in a gale five years ago that it had to be demolished!

CC,

I meant to ask: what happened to the Easter Egg Hunt Thread?

It has been whooshed!

Allan

Allan

Allan Report 9 Mar 2010 09:31

CC, not old by European standards, about 100.

The remarkable thing was ( and I read nothing into this!) the Anglican Cathedral just down the road was untouched.

The gale cut a very narrow swathe through the city and the damage was not widespread but concentrated over about a five kilometre length, but only several hundred metres wide!

The choir tour the various Parishes in the South West and sing in the local churches.

They are also avaiable for weddings, funerals and anything!

One hundred years, that is positively new Allan.

Welcome back CC, that will teach you not to go reading elsewhere

If your OH was from Wearide, then you may be an Honorary northerner Cc, an honour not bestowed lightly.

I used to go dancing in Sunderland as a young girl. Well OK, I used to go a courting in Sunderland, but don't tell OH as it wasn't him.

The visit last night was interesting because the place was very dark and spooky, plus we got to look in a couple of rooms not opened to the public

Good morning Linda,

They just don't build Cathedrals like they used to !!

I have been to Beamish loads of times CC, partly because I used to take a school party there every year.

Here, I say hello to everyone I pass in the street, even if they are total strangers.

I don't like London, it is so big and noisy(sorry). I visit it often as both my children now live there.

Hi CC,

thanks for th pm, I have responded.

Yes the wild weather here is dubbed 'Tornado Alley' , very strong winds over a very narrow path. Two or three houses affected while houses on each side are unaffected.

Well OH, wants to go out for the day, have lunch etc. I don't know where. I suppose I had better make the effort.

See you tonight.

Be good CC!

Just popped in to say that I'm going to bed!
I decided to look in, but accidentally clicked on the wrong thread and found myself on Allan's Men Only thread. I then became interested in what they all had to say and 'forgot' what thread I was on. I answered Colin's comment and then realised that I wasn't on THIS thread!
That's why I'm going to bed - I must be tired, but I'll blame it on the same as usual - Old Age.
Goodnight everyone. Have a good day Brits - and keep warm.

Come back Tec!!!!! I must apologise for not congratulating you on the new triplets in the family. What a handful but what a joy:-)) I know my daughter found it hard going at times with newborn twins and a 2 year old but I loved every minute.

Nice to see you back CC - I do hope you'll behave from now on:-))

Hello to Diane if you're looking in - we miss you and your funny stories.

Good morning and good evening all.
Yes, come back Tec - and Sue - please tie Allan down. He keeps visiting the Home and Away thread and he doesn't even watch the show!! He just likes stirring.

Tecwyn Report 9 Mar 2010 21:00

Good Morning Sue,

Hope you are well, and recovered from your hectic, but fun weekend.

I expect the triplets will be a handful, but I think there is help at hand from their mother's family. They will be in hospital for a while, as they are very small, being two months early. Happily, they are all healthy, and breathing normally etc.
My sister, who lives in Yorkshire is their grandmother, she is coming to North Wales to see them this week, staying for a few days with her son, my nephew. As I haven't seen her for five years, since mum died, I'm hoping to get over to see her, it's only 70 miles away. All depends how OH is, and if I can risk going away for a day - we'll see.

CC. Glad you're back - can't imagine what you did to get banished - is it like getting an ASBO? What fun!
I've never been banned from anywhere - must try harder LOL.

Linda......Hope you had a nice day out, wherever you ended up.
