ooh Sue, I hope that you will descend on us as well.

Allan - it isn't inquisitiveness. I sometimes go through all the threads before I get to this one and stay on it - but if I'm late, I might come straight to this one - that's usually when I miss something 'unusual' elsewhere!

The Home and Away thread shows that they are only a matter of days behind us. This makes me wonder why we can be weeks, and even months, behind them when we watch their productions?

So basically Allan, you will drink anything

Not meths Linda, unless it has plenty of orange juice in it :0))

Berona I also read through the other threads which is why I sometimes disappear from here for a period of time.

Hello Everyone !!

Up bright and earl;y this morning, actually had a good nights sleep.

Seem to be so busy this year and the study load is heavier and I hate not being organized....so last night I tagged all notes that I have to read and homework not done, now I just need to do it lol. I feel better and more organized now :)

Going to be a warm day today and warming up for Thursday and Friday, fantastic just as I am going to work !!!.

Got the call last night.......footy training has begun, great news for the kids, not so great news for the taxi driver :)). Its all good!!

Well I think I have whinged enough for today.....

Hope everyone is happy, happy, happy

Keep Smiling

I often pop over to Friends, but the response time is so slow there, it gets frustrating.
Also, where Genes only has Chat and Gen for general chatting - Friends has hundreds of 'groups'. Some people join more than a hundred of these groups - consequently, they post on one, then forget which one it was, and don't come back. I don't stay there for long.

Hello Janet - I remember those taxi driving days well:-)) Then they got their licenses and I worried about them driving.

Tec more than one glass I'm sure:-)

Linda - we will most certainly descend on you. You and CC were talking about Beamish in an earlier post. We've been there a couple of times and love it. So much to see in the North East including the lovely moors.

Tec, to be honest when I'm travelling I enjoy going into the various hostelries and enjoying a pint of beer.

You can now buy pommie beer on draught over here but it is expensive at about $9.00 or more a pint.

I had a pint of Kilkenny's yesterday and that was ample. I've never been a big beer drinker.

Berona, have you been peeking through my window? You also never noticed the funnel in my mouth :0))

Allan - when we are in the UK my OH makes a point of having a local beer. When we were there in 2008 my brother came with us and they would have a pint of the local beer and discuss it at length. I found my brother's favourite beer here in Aus. and bought him a couple of bottles at Christmas. He enjoyed drinking it from a pint glass given to him by a publican in Knaresbrough.

Allan....just near us we have the Elizabethan Village and they have UK beers and serve Typical English dinners...Lovely ! A few of my friends are regulars there and they say there is the English atmosphere about the place! I have been there for a meal and have to say it was lovelyyyyyyyyyy

Allan

Allan Report 9 Mar 2010 22:33

Sue, one of my favourite beers is Boddingtons. It used to be brewed in Manchester at the Strangeways Brewery which was adjacent to the Strangeways Prison.

I think that these days it is brewed elsewhere.

I could buy it locally at one stage, but now I can only seem to buy it in Perth...and not even then if I'm only there for a day visit and have to drive back :0((

Hi Janet,

I hope it rains for you soon - nothing drastic, just nice gentle, steady rain that you can go out and stand in.

Allan,

I'm not a beer drinker really, I do enjoy a lager now and then, but these days I mostly stick to G&T.........BIG ONES.
