Hi Lynda,
Sorry you are poorly sick - hope you're better soon. We are a happy lot here, all a little nutty, but Sue, who is known as "Mother" keeps us all in check.

Enjoy the footie Pat, good to see you here again.

Linda, You told me you were not old..............

Hi Sue, CC, and anyone I've missed.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am havingreal problems getting into the sight.

I like the list Tec, but for what to do in New York, just head forMahhattan and look at the sites.

Good to see you Lynda, we try to be happy when we are not grumbling about the world in general

Good morning Sue who is up early.

I was just thinking about Perse because my toes are cold. It has been a lovely sunny day here, but it is going to be minus five overnight

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Mar 2010 20:38

Well I am not old in comparison to you Tec, but I am old compared to mother. Now that doesn't make sense, how can I be older than Sue mother?

It is taking ages for every page to load for me, so by the time I post, the thread will have moved on and my reply will not make sense.

Nothing new there then do I hear you say

Good Evening Linda,

The Reply Button is playing up for me.

I think the emigrants headed for Times Square, and Broadway.

Been working in the garden all day, so I am also old tonight, with a broken back.

Wow, has the Duchess let you out of the kitchen

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Mar 2010 20:45

I was allowed out for good behaviour,

The weather was so nice, seemed a shame to be shut in, and I have so much to do out there. The soil was great for digging, very friable, I was surprised.
Been ruthless and thrown lots of stuff out.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Mar 2010 20:49

The soil is still far too wet here to dig. OH serviced the lawn mower at the weekend and got that going. I wasn't best pleased when he heated up the spark plug in the gas flame on the cooker. the smell in the kitchen was awful

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Mar 2010 20:55

I've heated many a spark plug on the kitchen stove - it's the only way Hyacinth.

I should have known that. The Duchess and I obviously have similar burdens to put up with

I wish this site would speed up, it is just this one which is the problem

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Mar 2010 21:11

I'm having big problems with Reply Button, assume many people are. No one else has posted on here since 8.22pm

Why are they allowing us to post, albeit with difficulty?

This site is driving me nuts. It's taking me ages to get onto any page or thread. It must be this site because I've been on Ancestry and a couple of other sites and they're fine. I was ready to throw the computer out of the window until I saw the thread about how slow this site is.

Lynda - I'm glad you're feeling better. Take care:-))

It's painful isn't it? as you say, it must be GR as everything else is fine,
maybe they're not pedalling fast enough LOL.

Just looked on another thread - most of the posts are duplicated many times - chaos abounds it seems.

Allan will be along soon, he'll fix it...........

That's better: It's knowing where to thump the box that makes it work!!

Good morning/evening to one and all. There are too many of you to acknowledge individually but at least this was I can't be accused of playing favourites, nor do I have to apologise for missing anyone.

Yes, I know...very lazy and not at all the actions of a gentleman. My middle name is slob

Rain that was forecast for Sunday has now been postponed until next Tuesday!
