Good morning Sue. I just posted on Stephen's thread on the way here, and by the time I submitted, you had sneaked in just ahead of me. You apparently felt the same as I did about the same subject!....."Great minds think alike"...!!

I'm sure you are enjoying your baby-sitting. I had all of mine together last night for a dinner for my 'baby's' 40th birthday. Makes you feel old when the 'baby' turns 40! They are going up to the caravan to-day, so another party will be on tonight with their friends up there. I declined that one!

Tec looked in and said whoopee! Does that mean he has won the big one and is out buying the cruiser?????

Isn't it wonderful, Allan being able to look at some of the old places. I sat in front of my grandma's house and the house where I spent the first 3 years of my life living with my parents and grandfather. I also intend going through my census returns and looking at places I haven't visited while we have been in the UK.

You will be getting a reprieve from "mother" for a short while but just remember I may still be watching from a distance. I can't believe your OH would leave you alone for a whole weekend:-))

Hi Berona - you snuck in here while I was typing. We must be following each other around the board:-) I think we learn by experience when it comes to sharing information.

Sounds like you had a lovely time with your family.

Good Morning Sue,

I'm pleased to be still with you :))

Apologies for being AWOL, I'm afraid a few days work digging my garden took it's toll, and I paid for it, but I'm ok now, and not quite ready for the home yet - I'll stay here in the funny farm for now.

Sounds like you had a nice time meeting new people, and to have a common interest is even better - an evening spent in good company, nice meal, and interesting conversation is a great way to relax.

I hope you both have a great weekend with the grand children, bet you'll have great fun, and lots of laughs.

Linda, Hope you had a nice evening, and that the new hair cut turned a few heads - did you make a grand entrance? I do hope so.

Tec.

Good morning Allan. So, you're still having the hot weather? Once again, looks like a lovely day coming up here (and once again, forecast is for rain). Rain is forecast every day thru to Monday but no sign of it as yet. Temperature is settling around 24 with nippy mornings.
What a risk your OH is taking, leaving you alone with the wheelie bins! I hope there are no 'saucy' ones amongst them! How will we ever control you!

Allan Report 12 Mar 2010 21:34

Good evening Tec, the price one pays for having a garden!

Sue, my OH is not leaving me for the entire weekend. No doubt she will spend today writing me out a list of jobs that will keep me out of mischief when she leaves on Sunday. :0((

Berona

I was walking over to the shopping centre yesterday to buy some pork mince. Halfway there I realised that I had left my wallet at home and returned home to collect.

Once I was back insde the house, it was nice and cool even without the aircon on.

Said to OH I had changed my mind about making lunch (which was to have been stuffed capsicums) as I didn't want to walk back to the centre in oppresive heat!

Oh Tec - what a disappointment. I was just going to get out my big suitcase and start packing for the trip! I thought you might have had the lucky ticket!
You see what happens when you don't pop in here? We all get worried about you. Glad it's only from over-work, but take it easy - a little each day will still get the job done.

Good Morning Berona,
Good Morning Allan,

Sorry Berona I'm not out looking for the cruiser, only got one number last Saturday, but don't give, I'll come up trumps one of these weeks, then it'll be up anchor and away we go.

Allan, Can it be true? Mother and your OH both away at the same time!
Think of the mischief and mayhem you could get up to, hope you will include me in this wild weekend.
But I will have to take time out for the Wales/Ireland rugby match.

I will have to go and do a few things before we go to our daughter's home. Please behave fellas. The ladies have enough to do without having to chase after you two:-)) Love to you all and see you soon.

I know, Tec, for once the stars are correctly aligned!

And as a bonus my daughter is also going.

When OH is away, my daughter often pops round unannounced. I suspect that OH asks her to make random visits to make sure that I'm not getting up to any mischief!

Now, Allan. That's not nice! I'm sure your daughter is only making sure that HER cats are being fed!

Allan

Bye Sue, enjoy the weekend

Berona, her cats do get fed and the amount of money WE spend on cat food would feed a small army :0))

Sue, two weekends in a row are a bit much for us to look after them. especially with Allan being footloose and fancy free

I had a huge meal, far too much really. The new hair do is just a shorter version of the usual one, I was beginning to look like a sheepdog so am glad to have it cut. Sadly no heads turned Tec.
