Hello Tec and Linda - and everyone else when you get here:-))

I won't be on for long this morning so may miss everyone. I've had a sleepless night as my daughter rang about 9pm to tell us that she was taking one of the twins (our little boy) to the hospital. He was unwell yesterday and she took him to the doctor as she recognised the signs of croup which he had awhile back. The doctor checked him over and said he was ok but needed to be watched at night and taken to the hospital if needed. When she rang up I could hear him in the background struggling for breath. They kept him in all night because they administered adrenaline and steroids and they have to keep a check on his little heart. J on steroids and adrenaline:-))) He's a live wire at the best of times. My daughter has just arrived home so we'll go down and get D off to school and then allow her to get some sleep and her partner can go to work although he too will be tired.

Tec - you've reminded me to send CC a message as I was thinking the other day that we haven't seen her around lately.

Oh Sue, poor little lad, I hope very much that he improves today, the medics will know what they're doing.
Let us know when you can how things are. It is so good that you are near to them to help in a crisis. Take care, all of you.

Little ones do pick up quickly. I remember when he got croup the first time. He was barely 1y.o. and my daughter didn't know what was happening. She was on her own then and it was frightening. I rushed down after instructing her to fill the bathroom with steam. It was distressing to watch him struggle to breath but within a couple of hours he was much better. Apparently on the way home my daughter told him that he could come into bed with her and they'd have a rest and he said "maybe later - it's sunny now not night". I think it's going to be a loooong day:-))

Good morning/evening to one and all!

A special welcome to Sheila and Sally.

I'm the only sane one on this Thread, as Sue has already said. I go for very early morning walks, and have a following of wheelie bins!

I live in Australind, 168 kms south of Perth in WA. The nearest 'large' city to us is Bunbury, and we are currently experiencing our hottest amd driest summer on record: yesterday was cooler but still no rain.

OH had a fantastic time at the Tom Jones concert and I notice that her underwear drawer looks remarkably empty!

Berona, I saw MKR last night and I'm pleased that the couple who got kicked off were the pair who I've hated from the start.....arrogant b*ggers.

Isn't french toast bread dipped in beaten egg and then fried on both sides?

Tec if I cook breakfast on the Barbie I cook my egg the way you described, but I don't know the fancy name for it.

As for toad in the hole.....love it!

And I also love frog's legs and escargot

Sue, Maybe the little one will realise he's tired, and settle down for a sleep.

Hi Sally, Good to see you back in the Funny Farm - I understand that you married a Welshman, well goes without saying, you obviously have impeccable taste in men...........

Allan, Glad your OH enjoyed herself at Tom Jones
concert. Incidently, wasn't me who cooked the fancy egg.
How could eat frogs and snails.......yuck.

Well Tec I haven't been disappointed yet.....where are you in Wales?

Thanks and hello Allan - Tom Jones hey - the Welsh seem to be taking over! Glad your OH enjoyed the show - my SIL went last time and loved it.

Ha ha Linda - I remember it well (the first 34 years actually) lol -

Good evening Allan. Sally, you can go off people you know! We can't help living in cold cloudy England

Aww Allan - next you'll be talking to us in French! Well, be careful - someone might hit the RR button and say you're swearing! Which reminds me - can anyone verify that Tec and Sally are not talking about us???

Sally - does it rain where you are when it rains in inner-Sydney? It doesn't here - that's why I wondered if you were close enough to me to get the same kind of weather.
Sue lives in the Illawarra area and is less than a couple of hour's drive away. Sometimes our weather is the same, but when it comes to rain - it can be totally different!

Good evening Tec

I don't eat the whole frog, just the legs!

After the back legs are removed it makes them so much easier to catch when you want the front ones :0))

Snails are renowned for their lack of speed, but I do know of one which had a Mazda "Special" sports car.

These were just referred to as an 'S'

One day while out and about the snail decided to put his foot down and was soon travelling at 170 kms an hour.

he went past a police car and one officer turned to the other and said

"Wow!!! Look at that S car go!"

Must be off now - I'd love to stay and chat.

Hi, Diane and CC if you're looking in, we miss you.

Sally.......I live in a small village on the Cardigan Bay coast in Gwynedd, the old county of South Merionnedd - I was born in South Wales, but was brought up in Brentwood and Billericay Essex. Returned to Wales aged 16 to Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan where my mother's family are all from. OH from Denbighshire. Visited Sydney many times over years.

Good Morning Berona,

I would never talk about you in a derogatory way in any language.
Was once told by my grandmother that Welsh is the "Language of Heaven"
So I should be ok then lol.

Linda, it must all be down to the Celtic genes!

Both Wales and Ireland have produced the most wonderful writers and singers!

It's just a pity that Scotland had to spoil by producing nothing but Engineers and Doctors! :0))
