Is it the parish records for Embleton Berona? What years do you need?

Hi Linda - didn't realise you were still with us - sorry.
I don't want any info on the town - the children were born in Coldingham - two registered in England and one in Scotland. Perhaps my memory is fading on it - but the lady who answered my email offered to look for any Wills, etc. She quoted the price and said I would not be charged until the information had been supplied - but I've heard nothing.
Because of this, I have given it a rest and got on with other branches of my tree. Will have to get back to it and pick up where I left off.

I thought Berona was looking for the surname Embleton not looking in the town of Embleton?

Or am I confused? Doen't take much.

Do you think you can help me Linda? I would appreciate it if you could. However, as I said, it has been dormant for a while so if you will bear with me, I will get back to you with what I have after I have gone through it and refreshed my memory.

Well off to make coffee - do you want one Tec or will you not sleep.
Linda can have one as caffeine has no effect on our Vintner and Quilter woman from Herriot Country.

Cheers all

Berona Report 15 Mar 2010 23:16

That's right Perse - the family name is Embleton. I don't know that they had anything to do with the township of Embleton, although I suppose there would have been a connection in earlier times - I just haven't got that far back!

No coffee for me thanks - I'm off to do some h****w**k. Talk later. Good night Brits - everyone else have a good day!

I have just joined this setup to find Ashfield records and looking around the site I came across you lot. It's gone midnight and I'm transfixed by your conversation even tho I don't understand a word of whatever it is your talking ... Blue Dongles or is it Dongles with a Blue light on!!!!

Allan

Allan Report 16 Mar 2010 00:35

John,

Apparently, a dongle is something that plugs into the computer to provide a wierless connection.

It is a USB device.

Tec's dongle has a blue light in it (as does my mouse)

Sometimes the conversations on this Thread do not make any sense to anyone, even those posting at the time!

Anyway, welcome to the thread, and despite the title, it is open to anyone.

Tec of the blue light dongle lives in Wales, others are in Yorkshire liverpool an in the South of England.

I'm an ex-Pom living in Western Australia

Cheers

Hello John

I am in NZ so it is just after 1.30pm here with us NZ ders being first cab off the rank and thirteen hours ahead of the Brits during our daylight saving. We are all sorts on our Lovely Sue's thread and we do talk about anything and everything. Sanity is not a prerequisite to being on this thread.

I would say it is the best thread on the boards but then I am biased. Do you have any connection with Australia?

My mouse has a red light Allan - I thought all mice had red lights except the Marzipan ones?

You live and learn.
