Good Evening CC,
Good Evening Linda,

Good to see you back here CC, we did wonder about you. Had you been abducted by aliens? Met a wealthy oil Sheik and disappeard on his camel? Eloped with Bon Jovi - whoever he might be?
Anyway it's good to see you here.

Linda, Are you quite well? Why are you twitching the delete button?

I am glad that you like it Allan I would have gift wrapped it, but just drawing it was enough of a challenge

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Mar 2010 21:17

I am fine Tec,it is just that even if you preview a drawing, when you post it, it looks nothing like the preview,so I had to delete twice

I've just had a pm from Diane wishing me a Happy Birthday and she also asked me to pass on her love to you all, which it is a pleasure to do

Hi, CC and Linda.

Linda - that's a mighty fine looking wheelie bin. A gift for Allan perhaps? I hope he doesn't get too excited - he's not a young man you know:-))

CC - my grandson is not too bad today. I've just spoken to his mum and he had a good night. So a nice quiet day with Grandma should do the trick.

Tec - the donation is accepted although it comes nowhere near the cost. I like shoes - my one extravagance:-)

Good Morning Allan,

Repeat felicitations, Happy Birthday,

It's a great age 39, next year's the big one lol,

Did you get breakfast in bed?

Have the cats paid homage?

Welsh Wheelie Bins on the way - they sing as well, and are far more refined than thos Yorkshire ones.

Actually, I have had a really nice day.

i started by getting my life back in order, or at least the study. I resorted all of the papers my brother messed up at the weekend.
Then we went out for the day. We passed Menwith Hill which for the upside downers is a large collection of golf balls with Americans inside them. We had lunch in a very posh hotel, I am surprised they let us in. We ended up in Skipton and bought some new clothes, then meandered back through the Dales and had afternoon tea in Pately Bridge.

Oops there have been lots of posts since I typed this

Tec, if Allan is telling you he is 39, he is fibbing

Big wave for Dianne

Hello everyone. Another nice day coming up. Could even get hot, so I'll have to get a few things done early in case that happens. The weather bureau has given up forecasting rain - so maybe we'll get some!

Linda, that sounds like a very nice day out. Hope you enjoyed it.

Sue - How is the little man? Is something going around? My 6yo grandson was home with a temperature yesterday. Will be going to the doc if no better to-day.

Allan - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Breakfast in bed, Tec?

i don't think that I could face it at 5.30 am.

However, the day, or rather yesterday got off to it's usual start.

Last week we said that we would go to the local Indian restaurant on my birthday and that we would have a family barbeque this weekend to celebrate both our birthdays.

yesterday I was informed that my daughter and partner would be coming around tonight for dinner...roast chicken.

OK plans gone awry, but I like roast chicken so that's OK.

Then during another conversation, OH says that she will buy some chicken pieces today

Pieces?? What happened to the CHICKEN?

Am I supposed to sew the bl**dy pieces together like a demented Dr Frankenstein?

Me storming out asking who's birthday is it anyway!

Good morning Berona. It was very spring like today, but it is still very cold at night

You had a fair wander there, our Linda. I have ancestors who moved to Pately Bridge from Bramley, Leeds in the 1920's. I also have ancestors from Skipton although they weren't from there originally.

Mwahhh to Diane.

Allan said somewhere that he arrived in 1972, I assumed he meant on planet Earth. I did think 38 was a bit young to consider retirement, but thought he'd thrown in the towel to become an International Playboy.

Linda - You couldn't have bought more jeans, you had three new pairs only the other day.
Sounds like you had a very nice day anyway.

Diane, Hope you are well, and the sun has been shining in the 'Pool,

Oh dear Allan, if I were you I would put your foot down and insist that you go out to the Indian. yes, you do that and then we can all sit back and watch your wife's reaction. It ought to be a good show

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Mar 2010 21:39

The jeans were not the other day Tec, that was at least six weeks ago. No I bought a pair of walking trousers, a pair of shorts and a thick fleece top. Before you tut, they were in a walking shop sale and Oh bought a fleece and some walking socks as well

Thanks CC

If I take Linda's advice the box should be more lozenge shaped, and made of pine!!

Also, I think that you may have misrepresented my age :0))

Good Morning Berona,

I think you should drive to the beach with a picnic today, and a good book.
