We are sooo close to the 1000 page:-))

Linda, my daughter played softball. Generally in winter it was Saturday morning at football and Sunday morning at softball.

Grandson is now pretending to burp and looking at me for a reaction:-))

Goodnight Linda.

Sue. I left out a few things. I too, had a few years as canteen buyer. We didn't buy enough drinks to warrant having them delivered, so I went to the warehouse and bought them - not good for the springs in my car!
I also had longer as treasurer than I wanted, but we had a person who I could see was 'fleecing' the club - 'nice fella' doing odd jobs, making equipment, etc. - with materials which I'm still sure were stolen! Always wanting reimbursements for 'doubtful' things. I stayed on to 'balk' him or I'm sure he would have cleaned the club out!

Hi everyone:-))

Sorry I missed you this morning, Allan.

'Happy Birthday' I hope you have a wonderful day with lots of surprises. Don't eat too much cake, save some for us:-))

CC, nice to see you post again:-) I was also worried about you:-)

Sue, Are you tired of hearing 'Hot Potato' yet?
Ive got photos of my two youngest little ones dancing to that, I love taking the albums out and showing them the photos. Its going to make good 21st material!!!
I'm glad your little grand baby is on the mend:-)

We have been having controlled burn offs in our area for the last 2 days 'cough cough' I got a bit of a fright yesterday until I checked to see what was going on. My youngest said to me on the way home yesterday afternoon, do I still have all the photos etc, ready to go. Off course, I do - better to be safe than sorry!!!

Hello Lianne, Do you have any more information? The name of the ship; the area where he settled, etc. could help you with either the shipping information or the Census. Was he married in Australia? If so, when?
Any children born in Australia?

Oh you're such a smarty-pants Little Miss CC:-))

Lianne I hope you're having a lovely holiday here in Aus. You go right ahead and post on here. If anyone on here can help they surely will. I'm not too good on Australian research as I've never had to do it.

Hi, Sally - what a beautiful day it's been today.

Hi Carole - are you staying beautiful? And Janet - keep smiling:-))

Lianne, 1836 is very early to find ships records, there are some Australian ones on here which you could look at. Despite the German sounding web name, it is a long list of passenger departures from England to all over the world

It certainly has been a glorious day, although wasted within an office! However, I got my washing dry......

What has everyone planned for the weekend?

It's only Wednesday Sally - I haven't even thought of the weekend:-)) Actually if the weather is nice I'd like to go to the Southern Highlands for a drive - Bowral, Mittagong etc. Lunch out somewhere would be nice. OH wants to bbq a fish for tea on Saturday so I may ask the family around.
