Hello all. I've finally got on here thanks to you Berona. I've had withdrawal symptoms. The only way I can get onto the site is through the email sent to inform members that they have a message. Thanks again, Berona:-))

Seems that Sue might have solved the problem. Hopefully, we'll hear from her soon.

Berona, no I didn't get to thaw the meat. My daughter phoned very early (for her), so plenty for our bbq

Cooking sherry?? It never passes my lips!

I always put the neck of the bottle well into my mouth before taking a swig or two!

Hello to Sue :0))

Thunderstorms forecast here for the next two days and it is very humid with a build up of cloud at the moment.

We also have A/C on at the moment as the temps rose to 31c

Sue - I wondered what you meant by gaining access through my message. I didn't realise you meant the GR email. (I can't help it if I'm a bit slow - you know, old age and all that!).

Might be worth while trying a few ways for future reference. There must be a reason why it happened - perhaps the hearts? as CC mentioned. Also, don't forget that GR and FR are connected. We can't have you getting withdrawal symptoms!

Hello All:-))

Sue I had that trouble the other day, I couldn't use the Aus site - I had to switch to the UK one. (the reply button wouldn't work)
I haven't switched back to the Aus site, Ive stuck with the pommy one.
I sent Genes an email, still haven't heard back from them!

I hope everyone is well:-))

Hello Carole

I always access through the Pommie site, as it is in my favourites.

If I have any access problems then I Google and use the Aussie site

We learn more each day - well I do, anyway. My current screen is bigger than all those I have used before. The glass is 41cm wide by 26cm.

I decided to replace my 'backup' email address with a Yahoo7 address. Haven't used Yahoo before, and as things proceeded, it told me my screen resolution was not what it should be to get the best out of their service, etc.

I followed instructions and set the new resolution - and now everything fits my screen perfectly and is nice and clear and not jumping around on some sites any more. Seems that I should have done this when I first got the screen. (I've only had it for more than two years!).

Seeing that some kind person dialled a wrong number at 2.30 this morning and got me out of bed - never to sleep again - I am going to have an early night to-night - so will bid you all goodnight and hope CC has a nice day.
Talk to you again in the morning.

'bye!! x x

Good morning everyone. I have a spare few minutes, so naturally headed straight here to see what my friends are up to.

That will teach you not to have flashy hearts Sue, just stay plain and frumpy like the rest of us!

Allan I am glad that you clarified the situation with the age of your daughters partner, I must say I did a double take when I first read it.

It is a nice day here, a pity it was so grotty yesterday when my son and his girlfriend attended the wedding. They have just phoned to say they are on their way back, but are taking a slight detour through the Dales. My sons girlfriend is from Oxford and hasn't really ventured "up north". we took her up into the dales when they were here at Christmas, but as it was very snowy, we didn't get that far in.

We are all going out tonight, so I won't be around much until they have left to go home on Monday morning

CC asked me about adding filters to the Adblock Plus blocker when using Firefox.

Next to the red APB symbol on the top right of the page, is a tiny little down arrow. Click on that and a box opens Click on "Open blockable items". A box will then appear across the bottom of your page with all the web addresses for things which can be blocked.
You are looking for things like double click, revisci etc Double click on one and a new box opens which says blocking filter. There will be a few to choose from. put the dot next to the shortest one, the one with the fewest http:// and extra bits on the name. Then click on add filter at the bottom. The ones you have blocked will then turn red.I have blocked some of the ones starting with Genes reunited' but don't go blocking all of the GR ones because various useful headers etc will disappear. Just try one at a time and you can see the effect. You can always reverse it.

Or if you have a large section of ads inside a rectangle, right click on it and if it has adblock image on the bottom of the list, click on that and add a filter from there. I don't have any ads left,so can't try it to remember exactly how to do it

Hello everyone,
Yes Sue i was impressed with the hearts. My living room is all finished. All I've got to do is move some of my things back. I'll do that in stages. It's officially springtime now!

Hello friends. Hope you are all well.

I'm not going to be on this morning as I need to take my little pooch to the vets for further tests. She's stopped the dreadful coughing so fingers crossed that the medication is going to help her.

Good evening/morning all

CC I hope that the storms DON'T pass us by: we need the rain :0))

We use a program called Adaware to remove cookies; it is free but the only problem is we have a couple of games that rely on cookies.

If you can start them before the program is running, they are fine but if not..........!

Sue I hope that the news regarding your little dog is good!

Pat I'm glad that your room is finished. Perhaps you could give Tec a few pointers!

Linda, I didn't mean to scare everyone regarding my daughter's partner. We are qiute a normal Family really!!

Hello to Berona, I hope that you had no early phone-calls today!

Good evening and good morning to all.

A little late, but I was caught up reading a post which was obviously a follow-up of a deleted thread,,,etc.etc...and which ran for a number of pages, but I left it after about page three. As they say - same old, same old. Don't know why the originator doesn't just delete it - unless, of course, they started it to start 'trouble'. Whatever they get, they will deserve it!

Hello Berona, I think I know the thread to which you refer. The language on some of the posts left a lot to be desired!

I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but I am careful what I post on threads that can be seen world-wide.
