Sorry Tec - I didn't see you there. Good evening to you and good morning to Allan.

No - they haven't arrived yet Allan. Did you sent them by Pony Express? or is someone bringing them by Shanks' Pony?....With all the walking you do, you could have delivered them yourself!

Allan, I am very much like that also, can cope quite well in a major or serious crisis, while others run about like headless chickens.

little things wind me up, like losing my car keys, or driving ten miles to the shops only to discover I've left my money and plastic at home, as happened recently.

Berona, I sent them by air mail, but I guess that the pigeon may have died!

Good job you two have your good ladies behind you, to soothe your minor crisis's

Tec - you get annoyed with yourself! Those are things you can't blame anyone else for......It's called "getting older". You have another ten years to get as bad as I am.

Two nights ago, I settled down to watch the grand final of My Kitchen Rules - a cook-off. The program commenced and everyone introduced, etc. and just as the cooking commenced, on came a mass of commercials. I went into the kitchen, where I could clearly hear the TV, and pottered around in there - then decided to check something on the computer - and totally forgot that I wanted to watch the cooking program! Didn't give it a thought until next morning, when I realised that I didn't know who won it!

I'm a panicker at the given moment and then I calm down and handle a crisis without too much stress. When my father was ill and then passed away I was the practical one but every now and then I would have a melt-down and that's when my brother and OH would step in and take over so it worked very well.

Berona, we recorded it because of the storms

Do you still not know who won?

Sue, your manners are impeccable

The problem that I have is that in the time it takes me to post, several other people have popped onto the thread.

This is a problem if my post appears on a new page and I don't go back to check the previous page:0((

Still, I can always claim to be a gtumpy old man!!

Allan - No. I know who won thanks. That chanel is famous for not running to advertised time - and I had set the following program to record. When I replayed it yesterday afternoon, I caught the last of MKR from when the points were given and learned who won then. I looked up the dishes on the website and they didn't make me want to know the recipes. I was annoyed with myself - but also annoyed that so many commercials were crammed in that I forgot what I was looking at!
They do this with H & A. It never starts until AFTER 7pm, then at 7:30 it seems to be finished and we get a News Update - then more commercials - then eventually, we get the last few minutes of H&A. I often miss that part because I have walked out thinking it was finished. The 7:30 program never starts before 7:40.

Sue, my OH says that I'm very trying!

I have added one final comment to the other thread.

It is very deep and needs some thought!

My OH didn't record H&A on Monday because of the storms

Yesterday morning she was on the computer. I heard the study door shut, which is very unusual, then all was quiet?

I became a bit suspicious.

Was she watching porn? Sending emails to
a secret lover?

I snuck into the study and there was one very guilty looking OH watching the repeat of H&A on Seven's Website!!!

Your last comment on the other thread is so deep Allan, that it is buried as far as I am concerned.

Time for bed here,so i can watch the end of Newsnight. Goodnight everyone.

I hope that Allan doesn't give you too much of around around Sue, He usually saves that until you go away.

Sue - this is what Allan gets up to when you go away. We have to go looking for him and quite often find that he has got Tec to follow him!
