Night Berona, enjoy your TV show:-)

What are your plans for the day, Linda?
How is the weather in Herriot Country?

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Mar 2010 09:58

It is raining here Carole. I haven't really got any plans for today. Yesterday we went to mum's House and I emptied more of the kitchen cupboards, while OH took away things from the sheds. I think today I will just potter around here and keep warm

Strawberries with the champagne....mmmm. I also love them chocolate dipped.

I had lunch with a couple of friends today. My friend put fresh bread rolls on the table with lettuce from the garden, the last of the summer tomatoes and cucumber. This was followed by home baked fruit cake and a pot of tea. Very simple but delicious. Is there anything nicer than fresh food and good company - and wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all share a meal together one day?

That's it I think I will sulk

I don't even have hello forename - I have nothing at all.

I'll close down and come back as a Brit and see what happens - I always came through the British but for some reason I ended up back in NZ.

Persey No Name.

Edit: the Brits gave me my name back. Let's see how long it lasts.

Well obviously you British can recognise me. It is after all my Heritage.

Maybe I voted for the wrong Mayor or MP or something here.

Stawberries would be nice - our season has ended but the season for champagne is still here - could be here for a long time.

I only came in this room to turn the light out and I see himself has been reading the anxiety thread - he didn't know how to get out of it once he went in there. He said he was going to tell them to pull themselves together - but he was on the first page - doesn't know how to move around the board. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Yes a meal together would be very nice - I'd opt for a meeting on Malta.
I will get there one day.

I thought American Idol had finished - but maybe there is more yet - I hadn't seen it advertised this week.

They have shifted Ellen Degeneres time spot - she seems to be very popular here. I have her book - but have not got around to reading it.
I also have Tim Allen's and Seinfeld's to read.

We keep meaning to go to Malta as well Perse, it seems to be a nice place, lots of my friends go, but somehow we always end up elsewhere. So Malta it shall be. There are some nice five star hotels,so I shall take over one for our exclusive use.

Are you sure that you want your OH to read this board? He might want to join us next.

He has no need to be on here Linda - his history is all documented from the days before computers existed. We even have a book his Aunt called "the stud book" - His family history goes way back into the era of the Norman Conquests. - Comes down the same line as the Spencers.

I am a mere peasant - tugs forelock.

I have always been interested in Malta - it started out as a joke - my youngest would wile away her hours happily and not get much done in the way of tidiness etc . And I would say whilst you have been lying around I have done this and this and this. One day when she was about 12 she added " and you flew to Malta and saved a child"

Where she got Malta from I have no idea it was just plucked out of the air. So it became a standard joke - .

From there I got interested and read up aout it - purchased a Lonely Planet guide and am ready to fly. What gets me is my friend from high school was over in Saudi with her husband and they went to Malta on a business trip and she was very ho hum about it - not at all excited.

Thanks Carole

I have mixed my strawberries up with my champers - a really fizzy delight - bubbles up the nose.
(wonders if I can make strawberry champagne jelly to go with my crackers and cheese)

I have a few people in my tree that hail from Malta. I just think how wonderful so steeped in history. And then there is their food as well which I have read about - very scrummy.
