It is a sunny day here, well at the moment. The forecast was for rain later. That will be just before lunchtime as I have to go out to deliver Meals on Wheels. No doubt I will end up doing my impersonation of a drowned rat

Yes, Allan, we were all watching Home and Away. I recorded it as well as watched it - but I walked out at one stage, now have to look at it again to make sure nobody spoke to Rabbit! She was standing there when I came back and I missed a little bit.

Bah, I have been waiting for the postman because I have something to sign for. he has just been without the item. I did expect it yesterday,so I wonder where it has got too? I will wait until tomorrow and if it doesn't turn up, I will have to start making enquiries. I want it now - stamps foot.

Linda, instead of stamping foot, perhaps the parcel should have been stamped.

Back yard sounds so strange. I know you mean garden, but back yard here would be a totally paved area behind an old terraced house, probably with the toilet and coal hole (shed) at the end of it

Linda, many a true word is spoken in jest!

When we were living in Leonora we did have, at different times, two kangaroos as pets.

'Roos were always being hit by cars and in the case of female 'roos it was always customary to inspect the pouch of any dead or dying animal to make sure that the pouch was empty, or to retrieve any reasonably sized joey.

They make very affectionate pets, in some ways like dogs are, but they are difficult to rear due to their special requirements.
