Hi everyone,
I've just been watching the dvd of St Trinians. Very good and very funny

I often stand on the beach looking Westward - taking great comfort in the thought that there are 61 million people on this island - and they're all behind me - beyond the mountains - utopia.

I expect your long post about America was intercepted by the Pentagon - expect a visit from the CIA.....

Hello Pat.........Glad you enjoyed St.Trinians - Linda went there you know, before she wasted her parents money at that Swiss Finishing School.

Hello everyone. We put the clocks back last night. It's thrown me off a little. I realised I could have an extra hours sleep but my body said - no it's time to get up:-)) I am now 9 hours ahead of you. If you want to check the time in various areas this is a good site. I use it when I get confused - which is often.

I had a lovely time with the grandchildren although it was only for an hour and a half. They are excited about Easter although the eldest one and his sister aren't chocolate eaters. I sent some money to my son in Hobart to buy our grandson some eggs but he wanted some Lego instead and that was fine by me.

The only thing I really don’t like is handing the children over to their father. He is so off-hand with them in that he just doesn’t try to really get to know them. He has little idea of their likes and dislikes and when they tell him what they’ve been doing or watching on telly etc. he doesn’t chat with them. What really made my blood boil was at the eldest’s Easter Bonnet Parade at school he was late and missed most of it. He had the nerve to ask me if we could give him copies of the photos. Parents were invited to have lunch with the children and then take them home. He asked me if we would like to do that and was amazed when I said “no – you have lunch with him and then take him with you”. He was all ready to go surfing as his surfboard was on the roof of his car. He told my daughter when he dropped grandson off at home that I was very sharp with him:-)) Moan over.

Will you two stop squabbling and trying to get one up on each other - tut tut. Pat and I don't want to listen to you two sniping at each other.

Pat, I'd rather have a Hot Cross Bun anyway.

There'll be no hot cross buns or eggs if you're not careful:-))

It wasn't my fault Sue, I was merely being factual about the Welsh

Good morning/evening all

Happy Easter for those for whom it is Easter Day (I only said that so that I could use 'whom')

Sue, I agree with you *crawl, crawl* about all the petty squabbling which has so recently appeared on this Thread.

If it doesn't stop I'm going back to the Home and Away thread to post some more intelligent critique of that show!

I can make a bar of chocolate last for months - if someone buys me chocolate for Christmas, it's not unusual for me to still have it at Easter.

I had a large bar of Toblerone that lasted from one Christmas to the next.

Hello Allan, you are being a sneak this morning

Hi Allan,
I never watched Home and Away! It's still Saturday here!

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 3 Apr 2010 22:20

Tec, keeping chocolate for that long, simply isn't possible. Are you sure that the Duchess just didn't keep buying new bars after she sneaked a bit?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 3 Apr 2010 22:20

Oh dear - you two will have to be watched when we finally have our cruise together:-))

I've got my mum coming for lunch so I thought I'd do a chicken caesar salad. I was going to do a roast with all the trimmings but I really don't feel like all the cooking. I've been busy getting the house in order before we go away and I'm being lazy. I have got a nice cake to have with coffee afterwards and I'll be making the usual pikelets when the children come over in the afternoon so no-one will starve:-))
