Sue I saw that thread, and the follow up.

The jokes would be OK at an all male type of do (which thankfully seem to be less and less frequent) but certainly not for a site like this with access by families, regardless of the time of day they are posted.

It was OH's idea to use the car. In the days BBM (Before bread maker) we used to do rolls but manually and when we didn't have the fire going OH would pop the dough into the car!

Shouldn't worry about it Sue, you're entitled to an opinion, doesn't mean you're responsible for having the threadwhooshed - others obviously felt the same - I also enjoy a good joke, but don't like smut.

Exactly Allan - I don't believe this is the right forum. I'm not a prude but this isn't the right place for jokes like that.

Sue, I notice from an earlier post that you will be having chicken caesar salad for lunch today

We have decided on Roast Lamb, as the weather has now cooled down. There was heavy rain earlier this morning, enough to put me off going for my walk. Sky still looks stormy. We had strong winds overnight.

The family may visit today. Well my daughter definitely will as her partner's children want some choccy eggs. Not sure about my son.

I'm glad the weather has cooled down for you Allan - you've had a rough summer. We have family in Kalgoorlie and they haven't enjoyed summer at all.

Sorry Sue,

I got my usual 'internet explorer has encountered a problem and has to close down' message. I've only just got back on

Kalgoorlie would not be one of the best places to spend a hot summer, and now storms are on their way.

I have always liked Kal as a town, but the elements are very harsh.

Good night Tec - hope you and the duchess sleep well.

Sue - I saw that post as I was 'coming in' earlier. There were only three posts on it and I felt that someone would be hitting the RR button.

I have just had a look at the 'autopsy' thread. I'm sure they know it wasn't you and they seem to think they know who hit the button - but the content was such than 'anybody' could have objected to it. Too over the top for these boards, in my opinion.

Berona - I've deleted my replies. I'm not getting involved in what is probably a private vendetta.

Allan - our niece and great nephew have only lived in Kalgoorlie a short time. Our nephew was brought up in Geraldton.

Sue, as you would be aware, we were in Leonora for 3 and a bit years in 1982 and really enjoyed it. Leonora is 200 kms north of Kal but Kal is the only City in the Region.

We'd spend the odd weekend in Kal when we neede to restock the pantry and freezer!

Well, as it is Easter Day, I had better have a shower and make myself look respectable.

Enjoy you day people on the company of your families, if they are visiting.

Take care

Happy Easter to you all, sorry Ive not been here much lately - I do sometimes look in mostly in the evenings.

We are having a run of bad luck at the moment, the latest is my oldest hit a kangaroo the other day on his way to work. He is fine, a bit shaken which is understandable! His car is a bit of a mess, we wont know the full extent of the damage until we get it looked at on Tuesday.

We also have been having computer problems, they are all sorted now:-))

Love to you all xo

Hello, and happy Easter to all! Hope you are all enjoying the break. Lost our hard drive during the big storm in Perth, so consequently have not had access to a computer since then. Felt "lost" for a while but was amazed at what I got done at home when I didn't spend hours in front of the screen!

Now we have a new tower, specially built for son's game requirements (extra fans inside to keep it cool) and two screens - still trying to work out how to use both at the same time.

Allan, hope you fared allright during the storms down in Australind. Apart from the computer and the general mess from trees etc, we had no damage and the cars were under cover. Very lucky!

The weather around Australia has certainly been unpredictable lately - hail, wind, floods, heatwaves. Hope those in the UK will have a nice warm summer so they can thaw out from a very cold winter.

Bye for now.....

Hello:-))

Carole - I was a little concerned because we hadn't heard from you for awhile. I'm sorry about your son's accident - he must have been really shaken. It doesn't matter if the car's a mess as long as your boy's ok. Take care.

SusanWA - we've been concerned about you too. We still haven't heard from Janet so I'm hoping all is ok. We once had our computer out for a week and I couldn't believe how much more work I got through and at such an early hour. Computers are great time wasters.

CC - I do feel terribly sorry for you, you poor girl:-)) Wrap up warm and make sure your OH looks after you. Chicken soup, a hot water bottle and a good book. Get as much as you can out of it.

I've had a lovely day today. We had the family over including my mum for lunch. I made chicken caesar salad with garlic bread followed by a plate of cakes and scones. The children had a great time while we sat out on the verandah and chatted. I love days like this.

I hope you all have a great Easter Sunday and that my Aussie friends have had a great day today.

Hello Carole - Hope your son is over his clash with the kangaroo and that the car is soon fixed. What happened to the kangaroo? (or shouldn't I ask?).

SusanWA - We have been wondering about you. Glad to know you and your home are all OK and that you are 'connected' once more. Hope we hear from you more often now.

CC - I don't think you got me right. My grandson doesn't shout at wheelie-bins! That was Miles - a character in the soapie Home & Away. This was said to indicate that he could be a little 'touched' - and of course, our Allan talks to the bins on his early morning jaunts!
My grandson was the one who tried to get up as close to the computer screen as possible to see if he could look into the room where I was - talking to him by Webcam!
It felt strange to me, too, because I usually sit right next to where their computer is, and I felt like I was in their home! I could see what was on their TV and also see his Mum washing dishes in the kitchen.

Edit - Oops - Hi Sue - you sneaked in while I was typing.

Good morning everyone. I am glad to see Carole and Susan safely back, we just need Janet now.

I will blame you CC for the fact that my computer screen needsa good clean, nothing to do with me sneezing all over it. The Easter bunny hasn't been here either, just as well really.
.
My daughter left yesterday, she has a very visible bump now. It would have been mums birthday on Friday, so my daughter came with me and we took some flowers to the grave. There is a large retail park near bye so we called in there and I bought her some new clothes, as she has had to pack the majority of her existing wardrobe away.

Good morning Linda. I'll bet you just loved shopping for maternity clothes! When is it to be? July, did you say? That time will fly. My first grandchild was born in July. He will be 15 this year and is already 6ft tall. Only seems like last year that we were changing his nappies! They grow up much too fast.
