Berona, thinking about it, I noticed it this morning when accessing my hotmail site!

I haven't got it bookmarked and always google the site.

It took me ages to get the 'm' to appear!

Allan - What you say about the stores being crowded takes me back to the years before Sunday/holiday trading was allowed. I vowed back then, never to go shopping on Christmas eve or Easter Thursday because I found parking to be impossible and the stores were crowded with the last-minute shoppers.

This became part of my habit of getting my shopping done prior to those days and it was only last year that I decided it shouldn't be necessary to avoid those days any more - so I went shopping on Thursday before Good Friday - and found that it was just the same as it had been years ago!

Allan Report 5 Apr 2010 00:42

Berona, I know that many people travel over these periods as visitors to the arious Regions so I can understand them shopping when they reach their destination, but for locals, even if ccatering for a large family function, surely some of the less perishable stuff could be purchased a few days earlier?

Have you checked all plugs and turned your keyboard upside down? I don't think this would apply to you - but when I did support work, a girl said her keyboard was 'sticking'. I picked it up and shook it, and out came a mixture of ash, dust, breadcrumbs and cake crumbs of all colours! It was OK after that.

I don't have any problem with other sites except my hotmail address (live.com) and the two (Genes & Friends). All others are fine - but then, they don't have the amount of adverts on them that these have!

Must go and prepare for my visitors.
Sue - if you are still with us - have a nice day.
You, too, Allan. Take care of your finger. No cooking, cleaning, digging - just rest!
Talk to you all again later.

Hello all:-)) What are we doing on page 2?

I've been packing today and convinced OH that he should also pack. My mum was amazed when she came over on Sunday to find that we hadn't already done our packing. When we took mum over to the UK in 2008 she was packed six weeks before although she did rearrange things a few times:-)) Compared to flying we can take so much more on the boat. However we've learnt to travel light so nowhere near our limit. Oh dear - we'll have to shop so we can fill our bags coming back:-))

Hello Sue.
I never pack until the very last minute. I have a fold out travel roll which holds all the toiletries etc, I keep that permanently stocked.so that I never have to think about them. My mum was the same as yours, the cases were packed a good week before,so that everything was well creased when you got there.
We are always well under the limit as well. What amazes me is the people who take huge rucksacks as carry on luggage as well as their cases. I often wonder what they have in there.

I am on page I lol....but not many with me......

All so hard!

So used to the good old Aussie way of life....love you all!

So what has everyone one this weekend? Been OK weather, although they predicted worse. We went down to Luna Park with the little one )not so little) and a friend and left them there and went over to Darling Harbour on the ferry for a nice walk about and meal, and picked kids Up (didn't forget them)...nice day out~

Hello Sal, good to see you.
Even though it is a Bank Holiday here, the tourist office I volunteer in is still open,so I am off to there soon.

Time for lunch and I have so many jobs still to do, I had better sort myself out.

SueMaid Report 5 Apr 2010 11:57

Hi, Linda - our family travel light too. This is from the days when we went camping and they were allowed one bag each - it taught them to pack very carefully:-)) Because we know exactly what we're taking the clothes are better hanging in the wardrobe until a day or so before we go.

Tecwyn Report 5 Apr 2010 21:50

GoodMorning/Evening Everyone,

I hope you all had a Happy Easter, and have all eaten far too much chocolate, and Hot Cross buns.
Yesterday (Sunday) was a lovely Spring day, warm and sunny. I spent the day digging holes, and planted the last twelve rose bushes. Consequently, today I am shattered, tired, and aching, which must be to do with my age, but don't mention that to Berona, as she objects to me mentioning age.
Our daughter,SIL, and grand daughter were here. That was good to see them - grand daughter is 15 yrs old, and at that strange silent stage, with a "How odd you all are" expression. I suppose it's not much fun to be dragged off to the wilds of Wales to visit ancient old fossils when you'd rather be out doing your own thing.

CC. I do not need to suck Toblerone with my gums, as you infer. Apart from four plastic teeth that I've had since my youth, I have all my own teeth, and can still bite - so watch it. I also, incidently, have my own hair

I believe there are several flocks of budgerigars and parrakeets now naturalised around the UK. There are parrakeets at Alexandre Pallace, and in one of the Royal Parks, the Green Park I think. One of the big Stately Homes, can't remember which one, has a flock of budgies flying about loose in the grounds.

Pat......Hope you enjoyed your weekend at your sisters, have a safe journey home.

Tec.

Good evening/morning all

Berona, I took your advice yesterday and turned the keyboard upside down. A lot of gunk came out but my problem still exists.

I'll just have to type sentences which don't contain the letter 'm' :0))

Hello to Sal.

CC my finger is ok provided I don't that I don't catch it on anything. I have also been trying to keep it dry. I did some gardening yesterday with it: I suppose that I should really have used a trowel!

Tec, it's very nearly time for Mother to depart these shores for a few days: I have some wizard wheezes for that time.

A bit like an out of breath Gandalf!

Don't worry Sue, I'll look after Tec and make sure that he behaves:0))

Hello to Linda

SueMaid Report 5 Apr 2010 22:26

Hello everyone:-)) Hope you are all well.

Allan - if you're looking after Tec who's looking after you?

I'm getting nervous now which is probably mostly excitement. It's forecast for rain tomorrow so I'll probably worry about our son driving home. It would be nice to sail through the Sydney Heads on a beautiful sunny afternoon. All packed now so just waiting.

Teenagers? Well one of my nephews who has always been a quiet boy became very sullen when he hit the teen years but suddenly at 18 he has blossomed into the loveliest young man. I'm sure one of my boys grunted through the whole of his teen years. As he went into the army at 18 we missed the change back to human. One minute he was a child next a young man.

CC I have seen the thread!

Amazing! When I start another thread I get into all sorts of strife with Sue and Berona, yet Sue does it with impunity :0)).

Thank you for the update on your nose. I no longer want a lightly boiled egg for my breakfast!!

Allan Report 5 Apr 2010 22:43

Ohh, I don't know, CC, prbably a case of whisky. It should be duty free on the high seas..........

........or a Geisha from Japan!

My lighly boiled eggs have whites which have not quite firmed and as my OH always points out, look like some ones runny nose.

I have now probably put may people off their breakfasts. And I resisted the urge to use a certain other word at the end of the above sentence:0))
