Yes I sent Allan a list of jobs to do to keep him occupied, Linda.

I love Knaresborough, Linda.

Hi all,

Yes that's me ... I can see the Castle from my living room window .... it's at the end of our road !! Yes again .... the Liverpool Arms is still going strong. Best mates with the Landlord, we used to un the Blue Bell pub for 8 years, now live opposite.

Used to visit Conwy as a child and fell in love with the place. Moved here in 1995 when my daughter was nearly one years old. Still love the place but the "small town" mentality is alive and kicking. lol

Oh Libby, Many happy hours spent in Conwy.

I'm originally from Manchester and spent many holidays in Conwy.

A very beautiful town.

Sue, the time is drawing closer to your voyage :0))

May you and you OH have a fantastic time!!

I'm off shortly ( all 5' 7" of me) for my tea, so I will wish you "Bon Voyage" and we will catch up with you on your return..........................if we have managed to avoid jail!

I have never played Trivial Pursuit - so would be at a disadvantage as I don't have answers to anything.

Allan.......I think it would be wise to wait until Mother is safely out of Australian waters before we break out. Should she suspect anything it would be just like her hitch a lift back with the Pilot.

CC.........If you are still intent on joining us on our exploits of freedom, you must consider that there will be recriminations from the Sisterhood - Berona and Linda won't be a problem. They are too busy making themselves pretty for their "Coming Out" parade the Debutantes Ball at Court, having graduated from that very expensive Swiss Finishing School.

Should you join Allan and I on our rampage, the only Court you will appear at will be the Magistrates Court.

Carole, Sorry to hear of your sons altercation with the kangaroo. We don't see too many of them on our Welsh roads. I hope he is feeling better, and that the car won't be too expensive to fix - can he claim insurance for colliding with a roo?

Hi Libby - Haven't been to Conwy for ages, though it's not that far from me. They used to hold the Honey Fair in the Castle Square years ago. Must be a great place to live.

Has anyone seen Perse lately? last I heard she was libererated from the boot.

Tec.

Good evening/morning all.

CC, in Sue's absence, Tec and myself follow pursuits that are never trivial!

I starrted yesterday with my 'Russia' thread, which I have just nudged up.

That was in response to those two most unseemly threads yesterday. Talk about ladies to ladettes!!!

Tec, we failed to point out to CC that very strict SAS training has to be undertaken for our exploits

Not that SAS is the military one: our version is Silly And Stupid

Libby, I hope that one of those contacts turns out to be the one you are looking for

Berona

Berona Report 6 Apr 2010 22:41

Good morning/evening everyone!
Not to be out-done - I, too, have been to Conwy and what's more - I have the souvenir coffee mugs to prove it! I have promised Sue that if she gets up my way, she would be welcome and I would use the Conwy mugs for our coffee.

Debutante's ball? So I finally get to go to it? That's lovely! I know I'm a bit slow at getting around to some things - but this is ridiculous! Do they really allow septagenarians to be debs?

All these things you boys are going to get up to while Sue's away - and the ship hasn't left the dock yet! You can't wait, can you? Well, the sisterhood has taken over already - so watch it!!

Good morning, Berona

I think that everyone must be at the quayside waving Sue and her OH off on their voyage.

Good Evening CC,
Good Morning Allan,

Silly and Stupid?...........or Sad and Sadder?

CC - We might become mercenaries and take over a small country.

Wales.

We could spark off an International Incident between N. Korea and the Isle of Wight.

Tec.

Good evening CC,

Are you sure that you want to pass on the training. We have some of the more Senior Members of the Guild of Clowns coming in specially for the advanced course in Custard Pie Throwing!

Berona Report 6 Apr 2010 22:58

Believe me, CC, I must look my age. In fact, I'm closer to 80 than 70 - but I can wait!! I know that I'm more 'straight forward' with what I say, than I used to be, but I have known people to get crabby and say nasty things under the guise of being 'old' - and I could never be like that. I always consider the feelings of the people I talk to - perhaps too much at times - but the only time I am 'crabby' is when I vent my frustration out on this thread!

Good Morning Berona,

I knew you'd been to Conwy Castle - there's one of those blue plaques on the castle wall.

Berona Was Here.

Allan - I think I've started something in our favour - the Sisterhood will all be wanting to go to the Debutantes Balls.
Which means, the way will be be clear for our escapades without hindrance.

Tec - does it say anything on that plaque about me trying to climb steps which went to nowhere? Very difficult.
Loved the township though and everything about the place!

Allan

Allan Report 6 Apr 2010 23:07

Tec, that was a cunning plan, mentioning the ball.

Even CC admitted that she was miffed that she knew nothing about it.

Monopoly! Hah!

Trivial Pursuit! Hah!

Why not a game of Snap whilst were are feeling in this mood of new found freedom?

I think not!!

Tecwyn Report 6 Apr 2010 23:12

There's a photo beside the plaque of you doing that Berona.

It's a thing we Welsh like to do, build steps that go nowhere, and roads that up mountains, but not one to come down.

Alice........in Wonderland...........formally known as Tec.
