This lovely lady is fine Allan, but cross at the thought that Tec would think that I buy my clothes from Tesco

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Apr 2010 22:30

They are lovely, aren't they Allan.........

We are so blessed to be in such company,

Tec...........................LOL

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Apr 2010 22:35

Linda, You're not being a label snob are you!!.........really...:)))
Tec.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Apr 2010 22:37

No I am not a label snob Tec, I just appreciate quality. Anyway weren't you label name dropping when you mentioned the suit you wore for the wedding you went to recently?

Berona

Berona Report 7 Apr 2010 22:39

This lovely lady is fine too, thank you Allan - but flattery will get you nowhere.

No Tec, Linda isn't being a snob - but one of the extra lessons we learned at our Swiss Finishing School, was how to recognise a well-designed and well-made garment!

Allan

Allan Report 7 Apr 2010 22:39

Tec, La creme de la creme springs to mind with the Sisterhood (sorry I know that there should be accents over some of the letters there, but I don't know which. That's fine as I don't know how to type them anyway!!)

Allan

Berona

Berona Report 7 Apr 2010 22:42

Allan - you probably won't find any accents on your Australian computer. If you do find how to do it, let me know, because I have wanted to use it for the word "resume" - as in CV - not as in continue.

Allan

Allan Report 7 Apr 2010 22:43

That wasn't flattery, Berona, that was a heartfelt expression

*smirks*

I think that I would be asking the Swis Finishing School for a refund of fees.

If you can recognise well-made garments, how come Linda's falling out of hers?

Allan

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Apr 2010 22:43

I also appreciate quality, and I do have some top names in my wardrobe, but if I saw something I liked in Tesco, I would buy it, and not give a hoot who knew where I'd got it.

Should add - not been in a Tesco for at least ten years.

Tec.

When did I say that I was falling out of my clothes Allan? I am fully dressed I will have you know. Jeans from Marks, fleece from Cotton Traders (OK a cheap shop), socks from Tesco and a gentleman would not ask about anything else

Berona

Berona Report 7 Apr 2010 22:53

Linda - I think you'll find that Tec wanted to wear his old uniform to the wedding, but found it had shrunk in the wardrobe. Men are worse than women - they think they never change - because the only thing they turn when looking in a mirror, is a blind eye!

Allan

Allan Report 7 Apr 2010 22:59

Sorry, Linda, I misread one of your earlier posts.

I have just re-read it and you said that you were looking for a coming out gown!

That's what happens when I speed read!

Speaking of naval uniforms, I assume that Sue is enjoying the start of her cruise. I assume that she booked the state room

Allan

Allan Report 7 Apr 2010 23:01

Harsh, Berona, very harsh!!!

Allan

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Apr 2010 23:01

That is funny Allan, I was wondering what on earth I had posted

Berona

Berona Report 7 Apr 2010 23:04

I, too, have been wondering if Sue has her sea-legs yet. Yesterday, at dinner time, I was hoping that she would enjoy her evening meal - and not be feeling a little green around the gills!

Allan

Allan Report 7 Apr 2010 23:14

Berona, I remember going on a school trip to Norway.

We sailed from Newcastle to Oslo. First meal on the ship was pea soup.

I took one look at it and spent the remaining 36 hrs of the trip in my bunk!!!

As I've already said, I'm not a good sailor.

It was noticeable that on the first night out, the dining rooms were remarkably empty - and lots of green looking passengers about, but usually fine the following day.

Berona, That uniform had a 30 inch waist, those were the days lol.

Ah tec, admits it. You were correct and not harsh after all Berona

I am tapping my watch, so it is time for bed. Sleep well/enjoy your day.
