Welcome home Sue, happy you had a good time.
Hello everyone else, although most are eating dinner or getting reading for bed on this side of the world.
I am off to see Dr Who with Matt Smith recorded earlier, because we went out for dinner - Italian for a change. Dr Who was followed by Tess but having read the book a few years ago I don't think I want to see the ending.

C.

PS CC- I am not 40, I wish I was. Life begins at 40 (in some ways it did for me). It was 40 years ago this year that I had my trial at being a very bad teacher. I am a couple of months younger than Allan, born later in the same year as he was, but in Sydney, not the U.K.

Hello to Linda and Colin

Colin, as I said on another Thread, 1948 was a vintage year :0))

as with wine, so with humans: we mellow with age!

lol Allan, but some wine turns to vinegar! not in your case of course, you are a very fine vintage!

Hello CC, I still have a cold, but it is probably hay fever as my eyes are all gummed up. The tree pollen s the worst for me.Ii just try to ignore it as much as possible and take a tablet when it gets too annoying.
I am walking wounded though because I came a right cropper on Thursday afternoon. I was crossing a small side road and didn't notice a little pothole. I was wearing clog type shoes,so they didn't give and I went down like a log. I hurt all down my right side, but no bones were broken, so I will survive.

I am fine CC, but I felt like a real prat falling down in public. The roads round here are in a dreadful state after the snow, most of the surfaces are broken up. the council are doing their best to fill in the worst ones, but it is a massive task and of course there is no money to do it

Everybody's been watching Foyle's War, but I haven't washed up after dinner yet.........be back soon.

Good evening/morning to all

Linda, you should take more water with it! :0))

Persey and yourself can now swap yarns bout your respective accidents.

In all seriousness, however, I'm pleased that you did not do any serious damage to yourself. At least it will take your mind off the hayfever !

Good evening CC

I've just bumped into Berona on another thread.

Berona may need the aid of a walking stick off the Boards, but on the Boards, she skips about like a 10 yr old. :0))

So, good morning Berona

Good evening Allan. I hope you didn't knock Berona over when you bumped into her

Tec, how long does it take to load a dishwasher?

Berona

Berona Report 18 Apr 2010 22:15

Linda - you really should put more water with it.
Seriously, I hope you recover OK. If you lived here, you would probably want to sue the Council! People sue for anything these days.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Apr 2010 22:18

It was mid day,I hadn't been drinking honestly!

Allan

Allan Report 18 Apr 2010 22:21

Hello again Berona

As you can see, Linda, I didn't knock Berona over!

I wouldn't (or is that shan't or won't) make a good cricketer as I haver been able to bowl a maiden over :0))

The bit in brackets was especially for Berona!!

GoodMorning/Evening,

Linda should a lady of your social standing be rolling about in the road in that manner.........and in daylight?

Allan, Stop knocking Berona about - bully.

Berona, I do hope you had a more comfortable night.

Tec.
I am the dishwasher, and I'm not loaded.

Berona

Berona Report 18 Apr 2010 22:27

Allan - After seeing the amount of pages used to discuss 'back and forth', I just thought I would like to give them a new one to play with!

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Apr 2010 22:30

I am surprised Allan, I thought that you would have bowled plenty of maidens over.

Good evening Tec, if it had been the following day, I would have fitted in better. That was race day (horse racing) and there are lots of unseemly sites in the market place pubs.

I hope that you are not as itchy Berona, just thinking about it, make me want to scratch. It is like when people talk about nits, I always want to scratch my head

Berona

Berona Report 18 Apr 2010 22:30

Good evening Tec - finished the dishes? Good lad!
I retired much earlier than usual because I wanted to sleep and I did get about three hours - but was awake again at 1:30. Dozed on and off but was up early - and found that I have a couple of rashes now - so it looks like it's back to the Dr. again - or at least on the phone to him - and just when he said I don't need to come back for another month! Grrrrrrr.

Allan

Allan Report 18 Apr 2010 22:38

Berona, yours was a relatively easy one to answer which I have done on the other thread

JC is certainly able to engender a lot of discussion on her threads!

I'm sorry to hear that you are still not 100% well.

Perhaps we should ask Sue to change the name of this thread to "The Walking Wounded" :0))

Linda, despite a certain Berona accusing me of sometimes being a bit flirty :o)) I've never been a Ladies Man as such.

I went out with a few girls in my younger days and even when I first met my OH I was still going out with other girls, but once I had decided that OH was the one, that was that!

Allan

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Apr 2010 22:42

More likely, once your OH had decided on you, that was it Allan.

Berona

Berona Report 18 Apr 2010 22:46

That wasn't 'flirty' Allan - it was 'flighty'!

Your explanation of shall and will seems to be the opposite to what I was taught! Why worry - we never use it anyway!

Allan

Allan Report 18 Apr 2010 22:47

I make the decisions in my life,Linda!!!

After I have asked for OH's permission :0))
