Tec - you're very quiet. Are you OK? and how is the duchess? Keeping well?

I don't get to talk to you so much since we switched our clocks back and you put yours forward.

Where is our Sue? Did I miss her saying she wouldn't be here - or is she still making up the sleep she lost on her cruise?

Hi Berona, I'm ok thank you, been a bit under the weather for a few days, but feel a bit better today. The Duchess is reasonably well today.

I've experienced that itching sensation with the warfarin, though I've never had a rash with it, it comes and goes with me, but haven't had it for quite a while. Maybe you won't have to stay on it for long. There are other anticoagulants they can give you, as you have had a bad reaction to warfarin.

Goodnight Linda, sleep well.

Tec - I keep wishing I had never had that cramp attack which started it all! I have just spoken to the Dr and he wants me to come in this morning so that he can have a look at the rash before he gives me something for it. That's all I need - another prescription!

Goodnight Linda. I'm late again saying goodnight. Sleep well. Hope you lose your aches and bruises.

Good night Tec. Sleep well and warm.

Berona Report 19 Apr 2010 08:24

I took off for the doctor's (again!) and he said he doesn't think it is connected to the warfarin - but is shingles!! I thought that happened to 'nervy' people - and I'm usually very casual. However, I know I have been very irritated at having to run around seeing specialists and having tests. Seems like a vicious circle! Anyway, he prescribed tablets which should fix it in three days and I am resisting the urge to scratch - so far.

Hello to Berona and CC

Berona, my father had shingles many years ago! A very uncomfortable condition

CC, I hate any form of discrimination, but that one the basis of nationality is most abhorent.

Due to the areas where I lived as a child in Manchester and then the three years I spent in the Aussie bush, the colour of the skin may vary but just like every one else there were the good bad and indifferent, just like the rest of society.

Oh dear Berona, I am so sorry that you have shingles. I know that in some people the pain can be very bad, but others get away with just an itchy rash. I do hope you only get a mild case. Poor berona, we shall all have to fuss over you and look after you until you feel better. Would you like a cup of tea bringing, or a coffee?
