Berona Report 21 Apr 2010 05:19

Thank you to all who have been asking after me. I haven't been posting because I am so tired that I would probably not make any sense!
Apparently, I am one of the lucky ones, as my rashes were caught before they reached the blistering stage. I had no idea of what to expect and my heart goes out to anyone who does get the blisters.
What I desperately need is sleep, having had very little since Friday, but the soreness of the rashes prevents me from being able to settle comfortably. However, I'll get there soon and I'll be back to talk to you soon.
Thanks again for your concern.

I've probably just missed you, Berona. Please take care and come back to talk soon. We miss you.

Just popping in to say I won't be around for the next day- a problem with my hard disc in the main computer failing apparently. It is all so complex, but my main computer and my laptop, share a virtual disc, so I can work on either and both show exactly the same thing. totally beyond me of course, but my son works "in computers" so he does it all. The hard disc in the main computer is starting to fail,so I am getting rid of that computer and having a docking station instead. I much prefer to work with the monitor and keyboard instead of the lap top, but the lap top is useful for the evening,so I can sit downstairs and chat while watching TV.

My son is arriving very soon and is staying overnight to sort the new system out,so I will not be around until it is all done

I am glad that they caught the shingles in the early stages Berona, I hope that you are having a good sleep and will be refreshed in the morning

Berona, it is good to hear from you, but please take it easy.

Sleep as long as you like, but even a post when no one else is around, to let us know that you are OK, would be very welcome.

Please take care and only chat when you feel up to it :0))

Hi Berona, I hope you have been able to snatch a little sleep - day or night, doesn't matter. Get well soon - thinking of you.

Linda, Hope your computer problems are solved soon. Your explanation of what is wrong went completely over my head.

What is a "virtual" disc?- is it a disc or not?

You are getting rid of your computer, and having a docking station instead?

I thought a Docking Station was something the Space Shuttle attached itself to on the International Space Station.

Will you be able to still communicate through a Docking Station?

All gobbledegook to me - as are people with Blue Teeth talking to Blackberries.

Going to polish up my morse code - simple.

Tec the Dinosaur.

Good morning/evening, friends. Hope you are all well.

The sun is shining here and it looks like being another warm autumn day. I need to do some work on the computer today and then I'm into the garden to tackle some weeds and do some pruning.

Good evening/mornint all

CC well done to your daughter. That sounds fantastic!

I'm still feeling tired after my trip to Margaret River, and get to do the same thing today and tomorrow.

Next week I may stay over. As far as my costs go it's as broad as it's long. I charge for three hours travel and that would cover a night's accommodation!

Hello CC and Allan.

Well done to your daughter CC. You must all be thrilled.

Allan - you've taken on a lot. Do take care of yourself.

Good Morning Sue, and Allan,
Good Evening CC...........

Sue I hope you had a good day with your grandson,
I hope you won't be too harsh with the pruning - unlike my OH who prunes everything to death given the chance.

CC....Good news for your daughter - good luck to her with that.

Allan, I also find distance driving very tiring now, whereas once I did a 500 mile round trip to London in one day, and didn't feel it - now I wouldn't even consider it.

Hello Tec - I thought the thread had been deserted:-))

When my FIL was alive he would visit after I'd pruned the shrubs and rose bushes to my satisfaction. He would then take the shears and prune them even further until they were just sticks in the ground. As he had the most beautiful garden and his roses were perfection I never complained. He came from a long line of gardeners so I always took his advice. I miss his help in the garden.

I've meant to ask you how our Duchess is.

Good evening Tec

All the travelling is prompting me to think that the time has cme to hang up my boots altogether and start drawing on my superannuation!

I can't speak for other parts of OZ but here, even if you prune right down to the ground, everything springs back!

Hi Sue,
All I know is, that I cringe when the Duchess gets let loose with the pruning shears - she is merciless - my poor plants.

She is off to see the Diabetic Specialist in the morning, but I doubt anything will change. Things haven't been too bad lately, a few dodgy days, but nothing too serious. Not able to do much about the house these days, but as I'm quite well house trained, that doesn't matter. We manage - thank you for asking.

Allan, I'm sure you've worked hard all your life - now if you don't have to, then it's maybe time to clock off, and enjoy your life while you can.
I speak from experience - it's good advice.

Take care Allan - sometimes our bodies tell us what we should be doing or not doing.

I'm glad to hear the Duchess is doing ok. That's often all we can ask for.
