You are a sweetie Tec.

I will be working tomorrow, might get on here Thursday but am meeting a friend for lunch - so if not Thursday I will definitely be in here Friday morning.

~~~~~~~~~~~Janet and Carole....
Persey
Watch it CC, Tec will be offering you Poison Dart instead of Treacle Tart.
SueMaid Report 26 Apr 2010 23:19
Bye Persey - enjoy your day.
How annoying - we have a youngish man and his two children living over the road from us. He's friendly, causes no problems to the neighbours except he insists on playing very loud music in his car which can be heard when he goes out or comes home. He often sits in the car to hear the rest of the song and it's very irritating. He's just driven off to take his children to school and I can hear it from my front room with the doors and windows shut.
Oh fine - I can just about manage tea and biscuits.
I'm fine thank you, but the Duchess is not well at the moment, and to top it all she has me to torment her.
Linda, I don't suppose you've had time, but any luck with Anglesea - ?sometimes spelt Anglesey
I haven't had time Tec, but I had a quick look on the IGI last night and there are loads of that name to choose from born on Anglesea in that year. I will have another look at it tomorrow
I really must be off now, so don't distract me any more, bye
Berona
Berona Report 26 Apr 2010 23:28
I was up at 4am this morning too, Perse - although by then, it would have been 6am where you are. That was good for me. I did get about five hours' sleep. More than I expected, but as soon as I tried to sit up and read, the stabbing pains in my arm started again. Seems like there must still be some infection in that area. I see doc this morning, so he might be able to fix it for me.
Tec - can't you reclaim the old ancestral home? We are all waiting to take up our positions as staff for you and the duchess.
I'm sure you are not tormenting her. You are too nice for that.
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 26 Apr 2010 23:32
I always expect the best china - tis what I'm accustomed to:-))
Tec - I'm sorry the Duchess is unwell. With you to look after her I'm sure she will feel much better soon. With regards to the uniform I did notice heads turn whenever a uniformed person walk through the ship. The commodore cut a very dashing figure.
CC - I've found that a number of books I read in my youth tell me a different story when I read them now. Life experience changes our perception I guess. My mum told me the other day that I've changed my views about various things over the years and I said that I hoped so. When I was young my views were very narrow but I like to think I've broadened my horizons since then.
Sue, You should go over and bend his ariel - that'll teach him.
CC. We only have bone china here, and my daughter thinks it's weird that we will still only drink out of cups and saucers, not mugs.
Some standards must be maintained - according to me.
Stuffy Tec.
Tecwyn Report 26 Apr 2010 23:54
Thanks Sue, I expect OH will be fine in a day or two - we''ll see.
I think our tolerance of things becomes wider as we get older. When I left home as a very young man I knew nothing of life in general and was quite naive. I quickly had to learn, and accept things that I knew nothing about. The greatest lesson I learnt was by seeing people live in abject poverty around the world. When you see people starving it teaches you to never grumble about your own lot in life, and I never have.
There is no doubt that experience broadens the mind, and what our parents found shocking, is somehow acceptable to us.
CC. My Grandfather used to slurp his tea out of a saucer, and the tea would ping off his moustache - I was fascinated as a small boy.
Thankfully I never inherited that trait - ugh....
Well must go to bed - Berona I hope you get some sense at the doc's.
enjoy your day Down Under,
Sleep better tonight CC, Go to bed Diane - Berona's watching.:)))
Goodnight,
Tec.
How is the duchess tonight?
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 27 Apr 2010 22:15
Good morning friends. Are you all well?
The day is looking good with sunshine and no rain forecast. We actually could do with some rain but as the temps. are dropping I'm happy with sunshine.
This morning I'm going to morning tea. A large charitable organisation sponsors a Big Morning Tea in May and raises an enormous amount of money for cancer patients. Today is the launch of this year's campaign so off I go for a cuppa and some sweet nibbles. As it's being held in a very old courthouse it will be a very enjoyable experience.
Be careful what you say Sue, we don't want you to be locked up
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 27 Apr 2010 22:30
Some would say I should have been locked up years ago:-)) Actually it's a lovely old building across the road from a beach. It's a little hard to describe but our small city is right on the coast and if you follow the main street with all the shops and restaurants etc. from the west end all the way down you come to the beach. At one point you can stand outside some shops and see the ocean.
