We don't have milk delivered anymore - that bit the dust here years ago.
I'm surprised they still deliver the morning paper.

Persey - we don't have milk delivered nor bread. There is no veggie man, egg man or pie man:-))

I started yoga this evening. I used to go with my daughter but we stopped when she was pregnant. Now we've decided to do yoga again. It was lovely as it included half an hour of meditation. I feel very mellow:-))

I have just been on Eldrick's thread and I am feeling far from mellow.

Berona Report 30 Apr 2010 12:01

Hi all. Just checking in to show the flag. Haven't been getting on at the usual time because my doc gave me a new tablet which makes me sleep late. Still very sore although the 'biting' pains had stopped by this morning. It's just the soreness and itch now but that's enough in itself.

Persephone Report 30 Apr 2010 12:06

I am surprised you can even get the flag up the pole Berona. Maybe the tablet that is helping you sleep will be a blessing, meaning you are less time awake itching and feeling sore.

I really don't envy you at all - you take care and as long as you ~~~~~~~~ now and again to let us know you are rattling around we will be happy.

Lots of hugs

Hello Berona and Sweet Potato:-))

I hope you are getting some good sleep Berona. A gentle ((hug)) for you.

Persey I don't feel mellow now either. I'm still reeling a little from being told that someone has nothing to say to me on that subject or anything else.

Yep -

Barbara you will probably be reading this thread - you were entitled to your say on Eldrick's thread as was Sue and myself and anyone else.
Why throw animosity into the ring - it was uncalled for - as soon as I saw it I went aaargh - don't do that. You take care and remember neither Sue nor I if you want to have a go at me deserve that.

Hellooooooo

What a day!! You know those days when you have plans and then at the end of the day you say what did I do today??? Ah well

Sue, the yoga sounds great just what one needs at the end of the week. I to hope that Berona sleeps well as it sounds like she has been not well as of late ( makes mental note to read back !!).

Must wave to Perse, CC, Allan, Carole.....xx

Hi everyone.
lunchtime here at work!
I used to get milk from the milkman until about 8-10 years ago but it was so much hassle trying to catch the man to pay him and now I get milk from the supermarket. I used to have a cat but now a pint lasts me 3-4 days.
Typical bank holiday week- end weather!

Hi CC, and Pat,

I'm busy polishing my bells

Someone in your Family Tree is trying to tell you something - pay attention - spooky!

We are ok thanks CC, the Duchess seems a bit better today.
The weather is horrid, been pouring with rain all day. I wanted some rain for the garden, but now it's had enough, trouble is once the rain starts it doesn't know when to stop. Everything in the garden is shooting up, including my new roses.

Confession..........I was joking about dancing around the Maypole on the village green. Would probably fall flat on my face if I tried it. Anyway, I am in Wales, and I think that is strictly an English tradition.
The men in white coats would come for me if I went dancing on the village green.

OH has just been notified of an increase in her already modest occupational pension.........4p a month......1p a week.

She is beside herself with glee - and planning all sorts of spending sprees..........whoopee!

Hi
Janet,
Glad I'm not the only one who has days like that, wondering what I've been doing all day - my intentions are always good, but don't always happen.
Hope you and the family are all well.

I wonder how much it costs in admin to give everyone 4p a month increase. Why not go mad an pay out a lump sum of 48p just once?

Because we live so far from the shops, we buy 4pt cartons of milk and keep it in the freezer, usualy buy four at a time.

I think Allan will be yomping home from Margaret River today, no doubt laden with wine bottles, hope he had a good week.

As for personal taste, I'm not keen on red, but prefer a dry white, so hope he brings a few cases of that with him. I'll bring my own glass.

CC. I admire your tenacity in getting to actually speak to a real person. The system seems to be designed to discourage contact from anyone outside the several brick walls that shield these people.
By the time you've pressed 1 for this,2 for that,3 for the other, and 4 because you've lost the will to live so might as well die listening to "Greensleeves". By the time "One of our Advisors" actually speaks, you've forgotten what you wanted anyway, or even who you've phoned. so end up asking them what they want.

I hope your problem is sorted quickly - not much fun when your income is affected.
Don't hit your head on that brick wall - because if you do yourself a mortal injury THEY will have won.

Good morning

Service providers actually loathe to provide such things. We had a problem with the power once and no amount of hanging on waiting pressing buttons worked. So my OH decided to ring the number for joining said provider and hey presto straight away he had a person. He told him the problem and not to fob him off - you want our custom you get it sorted or we go somewhere else. Of course you can't do that with the tax department - you instead go around in circles.
I may have told you this but when my dad died (Feb 1998) I completed his tax return at the end of financial year stated that he had passed away etc and gave my address. The following year I got a letter addressed to him care of me and it stated that his circumstances may have changed. I wrote back and said no he is still dead. - I could see my dad chuckling over that.

Hello everyone:-)) Bureaucracy eh? It has us pulling our hair out.

Janet - I have days like that all the time. The phone is what stops me from doing what I have planned for the day. I have now learned the power of the answering machine - I only return calls that I feel need returning and some I can ignore.

The cruise taught me to slow down because, as most of you know, I was getting stressed by the work load. I now put in a hour a day on my craft hobby and started yoga last night. I'm also thinking of doing a one hour meditation course. My daughter has changed her work hours slightly and this has been enough to relieve me from a little babysitting through the week which I actually didn't mind but it has freed me up a little. I have also learnt the power of delegation - it sure does work.

I admire Janet, she really does go for it. Lot of hard work studying and caring for a family as well.

Perhaps the Duchess could pass on one or two of her extra pension P s that she will now be getting, to Allan that way he could afford a little more postage.

Morning Sue and another good day is looming on the horizon, actually it is teeming with rain here so it will be the shelter shed for the washing today.
