Well, well, well

The Sisterhood bickering amongst themselves! Who would have thought it?? :0))

Good evening to CC, Linda and Pat

Good morning to Sue

I, too, remember when May 1st and New Year's day were not Public (Bank) Holidays.

Back then Scotland had Christmas Day and New Year's Day as holidays, but did not have Boxing Day as one.

We Brtish/English (that description was on my Army papers!) had Christmas Day and Boxing Day and that was it.

I remember going for an interview for a job in Wales on New Year's Day in 1971

I am here took 10 minutes to get on to the site. I had an e-mail from genes re a contact - so clicked on reply and not a lot happeneded gave up and then when I finally got in their was no little closed envelope in the messages. Opened the message section and the purple envelope was opened, have a feeling there is a gremlin or hobbit in there doing it for me.

So hello Patricia, CC, Linda and the lovely much talked about Sue.

I will now go make a coffee and read the pages I have missed, tho in getting to this page - I did see CC where you had been playing the what's that person been in before when watching Frost. My OH is forever doing that and I end up missing half of what is going on - he is convinced that I will know - trouble is it generally comes to me - and then I get told, said you would know. gggrrrrhhh
Otherwise all is sweet as I am sure all you are, especially Sue... Why would I discuss bank holidays when I could discuss you.

Persey

Sue,

The only problem with the Australian Public Holidays is that they are not Standardised. We have the same number but some of ours in the West are a week before those in the Eastern States.

This Year, as ANZAC Day fell on a Sunday most States got the following Monday in lieu, but not all States.

Confusing!

Morning Allan.
Sorry didn't see you there before, thought you were in your office messing it up again.

We don't have any bank holidays - that I know about and we didn't get a Anzac Holiday or a Waitangi Holiday this year because of them falling on a Sunday.
NZ falls into the category of "too late missed out"

Coffee's nice!!

Allan - you should take a leaf out of Persey's book and be respectful:-))

CC - if, and I say if, I'm plotting something I'm not going to tell you am I?

Besides, I'd forgotten that you may pop onto other threads!

CC - unlike my husband, I did put enough water in the kettle to make you a tea. OH only puts enough water in for his tea (so selfish)..... he reckons he never know whether I am going to want a coffee or not. Apparently I am a water waster and put way toooo much water in kettle.

I am sorry though no biscuits.... and the doughnuts have all gone and besides they would be stale by now.

We have crackers - I usually save them for Polly Poppet.

Persey, I have finally educated OH into realising that you do not need to boil 1.5 litres of water to make coffee or tea in two 250ml mugs!

Allan

Sue just doesn't pop onto other threads she has even been known to start them...... and I have to say the last three that I have been involved in got to be very interesting in more ways than one.

You there Linda or have you gone to sleep?
