Oh dear I remember the olden days we had a few like him!!!!!!!!

Hi Kempinawooliehat,

I am Persey the kiwi of the thread... so usually no one is around when I am so I have to pencil in an entry in the diary for when to come on here.

It is the only thread that I go on that makes sense - which I am sure you will understand if you can keep up. I thought I would keep all the pages and write a book - sort of a "Sue in Wonderland."

By the way Sue is in charge and Allan weeeeeeellllllllllllllll what can I say?

OH YES we have a few convicts but they didnt misbehave enough so we stayed here!!

Fremantle: what a fantastic city. I live about 150 kms south of there in a town called Australind, which is just outside Bunbury.

I love Freo and was there not so long ago for a week end break.

I love the place which is so unlike Perth. It is full of character. Your friends are very fortunate to live there

I nearly missed your post the pages have been ticking over that quickly.
The reason I asked about your dog - my OH went across the road to deliver a package that incorrectly came to our place - the dog (Odie) greeted him and my OH knows what I am about wiping your feet before you come in. He asked the dog if it wiped its feet. The woman of the house there said no she doesn't but sits on the mat until one of the family comes and wipes her paws for her. I was impressed.

CC there is an inner harbour and an outer harbour. The outer harbour is natural, the inner one man made.

When we first arrived in Bunbury the harbours were both open to the public and you could fish from the quayside.

Alas, all is now fenced and barred and another of life's little enjoyments denied to the simple folk

We're both fine thanks Sue,

My dog - a black labrador - and his sister were 18 mnths old when we had them. They arrived unexpectedly and not being prepared we put a bucket of water in the conservatory for them to drink.
They looked at the bucket, and took it in turn to dip their heads in, then one paw, then the other. This ritual went on for months - they had been trained to wash their faces and paws every morning - how bizarre is that?
Unfortunately the sister died a year later - she broke her back.
