You can borrow my passport CC, the picture is fading, just like that Back to the Future movie, so no one will notice.

Except i am going to need it back in a couple of weeks, so it will have to be a short trip

Goodnight - do pop in tomorrow.

Allan - Foggy is a very nice man who posts on the boards now and then. Of course I've never met him but he is well-liked by people who have.

Linda - where are you off to?

CC the inner harbour is closed for 'security' reasons. the outer harbour is still open. When we have visiting warships or cruise liners they always berth at the inner harbour. On these ocassions the public are allowed in but not to fish!

CC as you are prbably aware from things I've already posted on this thread, some years ago I went to the the doctor's when I was having difficulty breathing. He diagnosed gall stones and when I got home after seeing him I collapsed and was unable to breath.

I'd had a pulmonary embolism following a deep vein thrombosis!

I've sent you a pm

I thought he meant Foggy Dewhurst too Allan -

But I have seen Foggy on the boards and I have seen Kemp in his hat on the boards before.

Read your thread Sue - I agree with you - and as for children's curiosity (leaves off plants) that is all part of the learning curve. I remember a mother going off at her daughter who had brought a large bowl of snails to playcentre - the child was disecting them with a knife. I came to the little girl's defence - that they were at the playcentre to learn - the mother hmmmphed and walked back to the kitchen where she and another couple of women spent more time than with their children. At playcentre you are supposed to watch the children and not interfere unless it is a safety issue.
One woman once went to give her child a resounding smack only to find that I had grabbed her arm and stopped her. It was her first and last visit.
It was a playcentre rule - no smacking - and that was in the days when a lot of people did resort to doing so.

Does my b*m look big in that? Probably "Butt" it is mine to worry about.

Love you and leave you all - this site takes ages and screen goes blank and is playing up.
Will go and see what this contact wants with my family and then hang out the washing.

~~~~~~~~~to Janet, Colin and Diane.
Thanks for the odd pop in Berona - hope you are getting better and better as each day goes by.
And a Hi to Carole who has found so much ancestry she is busy as.
Persey - not Norman Clegg that was.
CC my current GP is fine, I was quitely shunted to her after the original mistake.
Bunbury, although a City is still very small so all the Doctors and specialists know each other and news like that travels fast!
I think that they were apprehensive I may have made a claim against the original doctor for professional negligence!
Frightening stories from both of you. My gentle father suddenly became very aggressive almost overnight when he was in the nursing home. A couple of nurses made upsetting comments. Out of the blue I received a phone call from one young nurse who told me that he thought dad had a urinary tract infection which can cause all sorts of problems in the elderly. I rang dad's GP who hadn't been informed of dad's behaviour. Within a day dad had calmed down dramatically after a hefty dose of antibiotics. The nursing home was wonderful to dad but I'll never forgive the two nurses who couldn't be bothered checking on something that is so common among elderly people.
Regarding my thread - it's gone a little off-topic but the same theme runs through the posts. How rude some people are.
CC. I'm very sorry to hear of your bad experiences with doctors and hospitals - and to know that you have such problems to cope with. I could write a book about some experiences I've had with them regarding my own health and that of my OH.
Once attended a cardiac outpatients clinic. Waited two hours, called in to see the heart specialist who sat with my file in front of him. He looked at me and said " How long have you had diabetes?"
Need I say more?
Tec.
I could write a book on the misdiagnoses of cancer. One comes to mind of a 42 y.o. man who was told for 12 months that he was too young to have bowel cancer. He died within 3 months of a diagnosis. On the other hand our local medical centre - while very efficient - go overboard on various tests. The slightest complaint and you are x-rayed, blood-tested etc. You are then referred to a dietician, physiotherapist, counsellor etc. A couple of months later you get a letter telling you that you need to follow-up and go the the whole rigmarole again. Simply a money making exercise in some cases.
Sue, i tend to agree, although in my case my new (then) Gp when I came out of hospital where I was also found to have High Blood Pressure and High cholsterol levels, wondered if there was anyconnection between them and the PE. Thats when she diagnosed my Diabetes, which was the last thing that I was expecting!
The actual cause of the DVT was physical damage to my leg whilst trying to push-start OH's car.
CC, I'm sorry to hear that you have so many problems with GP's over the years. I've been with my current one for 11 years now and see her twice a year for my diabetes review.
