I suppose our taste in humour does change as we get older Linda, but I still have a silly sense of humour.

I am, like Allan, also innocent and untouched :))

Tec.

Sue, I think it was the time that I went into one with an empty bowl in my hand.

I got some very funny looks from the scantily dressed waitresses (nothing like my maids uniform!) and some comment about a stick of celery :0))

I was 50 at the time!!

Allan, as i walked to the cinema tonight, I saw some very unusual bins. they were bright red with green tops, very jolly they were too

Allan

Allan Report 4 May 2010 23:20

Tec, I too have a silly sense of humour, and I think that it was honed on all those early radio shows.

You had to use your imagination, unlike today where everything is either visual, virtual, or requires no power of thought.

Linda, those are the Christmas bins!

One thing that I must know: do your bins talk with a Yorkshire accent?

CC, it's nice to see that you think I'm a load of old rubbish :0))

Linda - please don't mentioned attractive wheelie bins while Allan is telling his tale about visiting soup kitchens:-)) He may start feeling a little weak at the knees:-))

Tec - of course you're innocent and untouched. That goes without saying.

Of course our bins have a Yorkshire accent Allan, how else would they sound?

(I think that we had better just humour him Sue)

Allan

Allan Report 4 May 2010 23:30

CC please don't exposulate on this thread, you may get it deleted :0))

If I tripped over a wheelie bin in the dark I'd be having more than a meaningful conversation with it: I'd rip its lid off!

Please don't *expostulate* CC - it isn't an attractive trait.

I always think it's better to humour Allan - he goes a bit funny if we don't:-))

Linda, it depends on where they are manufactured!!

You obviously know little about wheelie bins:0))

Allan - I have a small script here found in a comedy book I have.......

Julian and Sandy with Kenneth Horne - I shall post it when I have time.

I have always been innocent, untouched, unsallied, uncalledfor, and unlikely - so there :))

Well, it is bedtime here,so enjoy your day down under. The Duchess will be pointing at her watch soon Tec. As for CC, I can never work out when you do sleep.

Waves to Diane.

Allan, our bins must be made in Yorkshire as they speak with a Yorkshire accent

I will do CC,i usually only wake once to "powder my nose", a sign of impending old age. but I go straight back over. i usually sleep for eight or nine hours. I have stayed up late tonight to chat, but am very tired now, so i really am off now.

CC that's why I like wheelie bins and keep a couple as pets.

I knew a funny little man
His name was Rhubarb Ted;
They called him that because he wore
Rhubarb on his head.

I'd grown so used to this strange sight,The cause I did not seek
But then one day to my surprise,
I saw he wore a leek.

I asked him if he'd please explain,
And let me know the reason;
He said, "I'm wearing leek because
Rhubarb's out of season.

(Told you I was silly)
Tec.
